That's the difference between mainstream pop (Capital FM?) and rock / metal channels. One mainly talks about a ton of unrelated stuff, and the other actually talks about music, instruments, influences etc. 😂

@Goat idk they got heavier recently. At least with last single ("Teeth") and god knows what is upcoming album gonna be like, they are still very young and change their style a lot from album to album

i’ve never loved anything more than 6 and a half minutes of michael clifford talking about what he’s passionate about (except for maybe the other video from gibson that’s 23 and a half minutes long)

I love all of them 4.. But Michael, he's different, for me he's got something that the others don't have, that something that makes him pure and unique. He lived his life feeling like a weirdo, someone people don't understand because they don't even try to. He acheived so much so far, and he grew up a lot. I love how he talks about music, and what playing guitar means to him. Music has the power to take you to a better place when you feeling down. I couldn't agree more. Also he keeps dressing so dark and punk rock and i love him so much 'cause he's probably the sweetest boy you' ll ever meet. No one will probably care about my thougth but is ok. 🤘🏻🔥

Don't know why guys hate Michael Clifford. He plays so good with his guitar and has a very good voice. He's the reason I always want to learn how to play the guitar, and luckily, I've got a friend who plays rock music and teaches me how to play it...

Why are all of you so salty... He seems like a nice dude and yes they dont play heavy music but at least they use real instruments in music and maybe inspire kids to play instruments again, I dont see anything wrong with that

I know it's not new interview but i want to say it I'm sooooo happy he got his own time to talk about thing, that he loves- guitars and music He looks excited here but also very nervous and i dont know why people blame him for that... love u mike xx

as much as i love 5SOS and will forever be in love with them and their music, you cannot sit here and tell me that Michael would not KILL it in his own pop-punk/punk rock band. throughout all of 5sos' changes, like another comment on here said, he is the only member who kept the punk aesthetic from back when they were poppier pop-punk. as much as i love 5SOS new music, i wish they would go back to their pop-punk roots but with huge emphasis on punk. it would be so interesting, and Michael would just absolutely dominate.

He is really talented & if you guys look up some live videos of 5sos in concert you’ll see how good he really is. He’s still young, Michael’s not saying he’s the worlds best guitarist. Chris Bouvé You are very right in your assumption. 5SOS’ interviews are funny but rarely have their insights on the music industry and what it consists of for them. Probably due to the fact that lost of people still see them as a boy band when they are more of a rock band.

Mike is so passionate about guitar, you can here it in the way he talks

"He plays music that I don't like so he's automatically a bad person!" Seriously, I'm not a fan of this band either but you guys need to chill out.

Big Stinko I believe people just don't know where to direct the hate, because Michael here essentially had to accept to a random ass channel that wants his interview that covers his instrument of choice. It wouldn't be a bad thing if he didn't know what Loudwire is. I don't dislike Michael, I am a bit confused as to why Loudwire is covering this.

Idk if they heard their music, it's just a thing around bands with mostly female fan bases. "It's for girls, so I'm gonna shit that to look cool". Such manly very attractive (no actually pretty ridiculous, and we can see such dudes through at this point)

I feel sorry about the comments of "metal fans" they look like cry babies meanwhile they critic to 5sos fans for being "teenager girls" and I look at other comments and are this 5sos fans who leave the most mature comments. I hope Mike don't read the bad comments

I don't understand why so many people call 5SOS bad band or boyband. I think they were pretty good pop rock band and now they are making nice alternative music influenced with industrial, pop and new wave.

everybody is so pissed off but why? no one said you had to like 5sos or Michael. but the channel covers stuff related to rock music. get over it. at least respect that he plays his own instrument and the band doesn't get other people to do all their shit for them and they don't dance around stage like some pretty boy pop band. c'mon people lol

i wanted to sound like synyster gates from a7x, but it was michael clifford from 5sos who inspired me to pick up the guitar. he's the kind of person who believes anyone can play if they try, and you dont need anything flashy to rock out. his custom 100% speaks to my values as a guitar player, it and the joan jett custom are absolutely tied for my dream guitar...

I love this video. Just seeing Michael playing guitar and chilling is awesome !

i started playing acoustic guitar about 3 or 4 years ago. and i have always wanted to learn electric but i could never play bar chords or anything like that. i started playing bass and i love it but i also want to play guitar. and i watched this video and he talked about how it just clicked for him. that just happened for me, i was learning their songs and me myself and i and valentine just made it click for me. that moment i felt so proud. thank you michael.

dear rude people in the comment section, he is very insecure about himself and he has anxiety so he was probably really nervous since he does not really do interviews by himself and since he is not the chatty person in the BAND he is not used to the attention being on him. He also never said he was good at guitar and he knows the band is not that popular but they try to be diverse and let anyone not just preteen/teen girls like there music but they don't control what they put out management does so they don't entirely like it either it doesn't mean their a bad/shitty band i believe some of there music is good it just depends on what you like there is no need to be rude to mikey or the rest of 5SOS.

It's been interesting. First time debating in a comment section. I made sure not get mad are mean towards anyone. It's been lessons on people who end up being respectful, and can see the side of 5sos/Michael fans. Then some are deadset on the hate for the guy. In the end, music is music, and it's all awesome.

5SOS is actually is more rock than any other band in this era. Example - Imagine Dragons, The Vamps etc. Still they do not get much attention. It is saddening.
