What Luke says in this interview defines clearly why 5SOS is the best band and why I love them so much: their goals are simple : 1. write great songs 2. sound great live 3. be friends. They are so genuine and you can 100% feel it in 5SOS5.

Congrats to the interviewer, this is such a great job! Many interviews feel forced and you can see there’s no connection and mutual interest between interviewer and 5sos but here it’s so clear that Sophie is really well prepared and genuinely excited about talking to guys, we love to see that!

This is one of my favorite interviews. Such honesty, warts and all from Ashton. I am happy to see the maturity and appreciation for the career they have been given. Some artists become jaded over time, but that is not the case for 5sos. Their latest album is a masterpiece and I hope at awards time they are rewarded.

Love these guys so much, can't wait for them to come back to the UK for a tour :)

I think that was their way of dealing with feeling sad that they were even nominated. Like if they win they can say it’s funny and they encouraged it.

The first time was funny, but called worst band 4 years was a too much

It seems really bizarre that 5sos was given the worst band award by NME, three times. When you go back and see the astounding amount of awards they where winning elsewhere all around the world at the same time. Seems like NME does not know a good thing when they see it. No wonder why they stopped giving out the award, they looked the fool by panning the very bands that where major winners in the respected music community. MTV, ARIA, PEOPLE"S CHOICE, etc.
