Ashton is a beast drummer. He always give his 110%! I alway enjoy to see him perform. Glad to see you continue your 5SOS journey. :)

Just a few notes on this performance: it was part of a fundraising concert pulled together in 5 weeks!! Queen had played the night before at the same venue, so they donated their stage and performed a set (hence the Freddie guy in the audience) right after 5SOS. It went for 10 hours and whilst predominantly Australian artists, there were a few international guests who were able to perform including Alice Cooper and k.d. lang. The guys would now say that playing at the Sydney Opera House forecourt was a major pinnacle of their career, but before that (in Australia) it would've been this stadium as it was where the Sydney Olympics were held and a massive opportunity to play to a crowd that big. Lastly, "Youngblood" will always have particular significance in Australia as it was the biggest selling single of 2018. To understand its popularity the song still sits on the Australian Artists Song Charts at Number 16 more than 4 years later!!

This is a great performance but I’d always say tour performances are better than the festivals because the crowds are always more into it :)

I love this performance although not gonna lie there's just something about them and the crowds when they're performing to their fans, I always prefer their performances when they're like tour performances

I just went to see 5SOS live in concert and they were all so much more into it. Even Ashton, which I didn't know was possible.

Ashton takes off his shirt in the beginning because in the end of the Old Me music video it ends with them entering this stage, so he had to wear the same outfit in the vid as the performance

Oh you guys would have LOVED the ONO live from London last September for the release of 5SOS5. The quality of the live recording was exceptional and the live itself was so damn good. All their songs are better live tbh, they are a true live band and it is such an experience to see them live, I really hope they come back to Vancouver for their next tour 🔥 I think you should listen to CALM and then Sounds Good Feels Good and then the first one.

Yeah, there definitely tend to be more audio/mix issues with festival recordings, which is unfortunate but makes sense

ash always puts 300% into his drumming performances, and it was a really fuckin hot summer (as an australian myself can confirm) so him taking his shirt off isn’t out of character 😂 during their most recent tour he passed out mid-setlist bc he was working himself so hard 😖😖

In my opinion I would still go from newest to oldest album: 1. CALM 2. Sounds Good Feels Good 3. Self Titled (I am not an original fan so the nostalgia is missing for me and at least for me this is by far my least favorite album since you can really tell that they were new to music back then. The other two however are in my opinion very good)

yeahh! in the band ash is the extroverted like even tho he’s the drummer sometimes he gives frontman vibes (maybe because he’s older ). luke and calum are super introvert is kinda weird seeing a lead vocalist/ frontman being like that tho since 2016 he started acting A LITTLE more like a frontman like he has like a persona now (sometimes). michael is a little bit of both but him and ash are the more similar more extroverted/talkative

Dang the audio on this is not good at all! That sucks! Can you imagine getting on a stage and nothing is right w the mix/in ears. Instant anxiety attack for me. hahaha. They did a recent I heart radio which was super good for a festival, but fan shows are really the best. YES FOR THE 5SOS CONTENT!
