5 Remarkable Fallout 4 Unmarked Locations And The Stories Behind Them

Ойындар

I did one of these for New Vegas, so why not one for Fallout 4 as well!
Discovering a unique unmarked location is one of the most exciting things for me when it comes to playing any Fallout game. I love being able to discover the small stories that hide in the locations that don't appear on the Pip-Boy map.
And while the 5 that I've listed aren't the most obscure locations (heck, you even go to one during a main story quest), the locations I've mentioned are some of the most flavourful and unique in the entire game.
This is 5 Remarkable Fallout 4 Unmarked Locations!
If you liked the video, be sure to share, subscribe, comment, and like!

Other than that, have a good rest of your day! Happy New Year!
Cheers!

Back in early 2018 I went on vacation to Boston and visited all the locations on the Freedom Trail. While I was taking pictures and said to myself - thats the balcony where Hancock gives his speech, thats where the Railroad is headquartered and so on. It took me almost the entire day to walk it.

Can be done a fair bit quicker, we were in the US for work and had a day off so went into Boston about lunchtime, started near Faneuil Hall and walked to the common, then did all the way back, up Bunker Hill and around the USS Constitution, visiting each spot on the trail that was open, stopped for lunch and eventually met up with work people for food about 7 I think. Provided you can walk at a decent pace it's doable in 6 hours, maybe add 2-3 if you go in every building but they weren't all open

The most haunting secret spot was a house hiding a glowing one where you follow a series of journal recordings from a radiomedicine scientist testing a precursor to Radaway. She was unknowingly part of the control group and daily dosed with lethal radiation. She documents the effects of radiation poisoning including hair loss, bleeding of the gums, later loss of teeth, etc. When she begged for the experiments to stop, she was told she was legally bound under contract and she had no choice. She died at the facility, but came back as a feral glowing one.

Pretty sure npcs dont use ammo. Followers yea but enemies no. They can throw 80 grenades for example. Specifically to avoid players from missing out on rare loot like mininukes, fusion cores, and ab rounds but also to prevent exactly what you described. Youre a liar, for no reason at that. Also it does have a melee, literally every enemy does, youre just completely lying about all of this for no reason. Idk what annoys me more, the pointless lying or the fact that so many sheep mindlessly liked this garbage.

@@ryanmorton2936 sheep for not using common sense, not for what you claim. Like every enemy in the game, it would just use the weapon bash animation, in the event that it loses its pistol from a lucky melee hit, legendary effect, or getting pickpocketed, it will refuse to fight as most unarmed AIs would and try to run away but since its not allowed to leave the cave will instead cower. Thats the only way I can see that being possible with out mods. If it didnt have a punching animation than players on ps4 wouldn't be able to mod alien outfits and punch things with out odd graphic glitches. It has every animation as every other humanoid in the game save for ferals. This is because bethesda copy n pasted humanoid animations. Mechanically speaking the zetans are not zetans, theyre just humams in armor that makes them look like zetans. Heated? I want to point out that I said *annoyed*. I don't remember if it's a unmarked location or not. I think it's close to Sanctuary Hill. There a cabin with a skeleton of a girl and a holotape that ran away from home the eve before the great war. To those that know, knows. To those that don't you should definitely check it out. I think that's one of the saddest stories in the game of how and why that girl got there.

Marked as Rangers Cabin. If you follow the power lines up to the edge of the map just behind Sanctuary and directly behind Abernathy Farm you can find a unique location that will change every time you visit, sometimes an armored tank is up there, sometimes a random settler begging for clean water, or a group of raiders in addition to the raiders nearby, and sometimes you'll find synths or Brotherhood soldiers holding the place down.

You gotta give it up for Tinker Tom. He's likely the one who reprogrammed Pam, he uses the player character to set up data retrieving units all over the Commonwealth, he is the only one who can crack a courser chip and if you go through the railroad he's also the one setting up your teleportation yet he's completely nuts- he thinks the Institute have nanobots in all the food, they're terraforming the world and claims everyone thinks he just high too often but he's the only one to see it all. I'd love to hear a developer story about Deacon's camp, because the canon for why it would exist should be fascinating. It's been decades since Kellogg raided the Vault, so it isn't like there's a reason to be monitoring from that perspective. Maybe PAM has some dialog that I've forgotten that could've sent him that way? And unrelated, but if I remember right the alien cave exists prior to the crash and is just empty. If you want to see it before level 20.

And about the alien crash site I was always a bit bugged that there’s nothing you can do after that, like you can’t tell the brotherhood or anyone about the site almost as if your character has amnesia or is somehow stupidity unaware that those organizations are obsessed with technology and that alien tech would likely be a great push through for the brotherhood/institute.

The UFO crash trigger is not uncertain. It's quite well reproducable: You have to reach level 20, fast-travel to a location north of Oberland Station (not too near), enter and exit Pip-Boy or a container or a indoor cell. Tadaa :)

WOW. On my second playthrough I decided to not follow the story and I got myself to the top left corner of the map. I went right to the top right. I then spent the next 20 nights (I worked 8 hours a night in a closed hospital undergoing a refurbishment). So every night for 8 hours just being at the hospital I played Fallout 4 on my gaming laptop. One way to get paid for playing games. Even thought I zigzagged across the map from right to left, I only came across 3 of these unmarked places. This is a great video, bloody well done and sending a "Thank You" from little old me in England 🤩🤗

I've been playing this game on and off for several years and never knew about the loot on the boards near the ceiling in Plumber's Secret. One of my favorite Easter eggs in the game is the Prost Bar across the road west of Boston Common, which contains a reasonably faithful recreation of the bar from the TV show "Cheers" complete with a dead Norm and Cliffy, Frasier, Sam, Diane and Carla. The real-world Cheers - or the entrance to it - is in fact close to Boston Common, but in a different spot (and of course it's nothing like the TV show on the inside).

My favorite. There’s a secret area on top of the Diamond City stadium. Only accessible from the outside (next to the fenced junkyard area). Need the power armor jetpack to get there, or console command (tcl). There is a bar, bed, power armor station. And a dead settler. Not sure how he managed to get killed; probably the safest location in the game.

I agree with your Zetan pov. Used sparingly, a crashed UFO with a little green martian is the most 50s thing so Fallout needs to do it. It doing another Mothership DLC and making more canon lore is a dangerous slippery slope

They really should have done the opposite with the Church and Switchboard as HQ for Railroad. 1. They left too many clues that led to the Church. The Institute would have found it. 2. It would have made more sense for them to have found PAM after, as she should have predicted the location being compromised. 3. RR could have discovered switchboard by searching through old files for hidden military bunkers, being able to decipher coded messages. 4. Instead of searching for RR ourselves, Deacon could have appeared somewhere and recruited us himself. This better explains why he had been watching us. 5. Switchboard has actual security measures. Church has ghouls. Ghouls are no threat to Coursers. 6. Switchboard is cooler. I'd rather go there.

fyi, the Combat Zone is an historical location, as there was a “red light” district, known for drugs and prostitution, in the mid to late 1900’s. Outside Goodneighbor is a Graveyard with a plaque of its history. A couple fun locations you might like to research. I find it interesting to discover historically significant places, tucked among the ruins. It lends a gravitas to the location. This spot means something. It’s like how Preston gets excited arriving in Sanctuary, and discovers that we’re at the sight of the first shots of the revolutionary war, the North Bridge. It’s takes a throwaway scenery, and transforms it.

I think that the railroad camp outside of vault 111 probably not Deacon inherently trying to find the sole survivor of vault 111 I think it's more likely that Deacon had set up a camp out there to monitor vault 111 to see about setting a base there after the destruction of the switchboard and just so happened to see the sole survivor leave and having heard the tales of vault dwellers going on to big big people in the world decided to follow the player
