Does a7c2 have focus problem with samyang lenses.. just saw a few videos that show theres a problem in sony a7c2 focus with samyang and other 3rd party lenses…

I have the A6400 for travel and a7riv dedicated photography. Its great because both use apsc glass for a smaller combo. Have you considered ricoh gr3? Small pocketable and a joy to use with film sims.

Haven't considered anything outside of the Sony system as I want both cameras to be interchangeable lens cameras and to be able to use the same lenses on both. 🙂 But I shall research the GR3 now that you've mentioned it 🙏

So it can stream with usb c 4k 30fps. What about 1080p 60fps?

Is there an alternative way to select focus area given there is no touchpad like the a7iv?

You convinced me. I'm going to upgrade my A7C to A7C II and not A7 IV because of the Clear Image Zoom tracking and LUTs. Those are decision swayers for what I do.

No,it’s only available in video mode.

This is my delema last year, i sell my a7iii to get the a7c to stay in the fullframe, but in the end i get the fuji xt4 its because of dual memory and much lighter and compact body and lens..

Do you if the a7cii has the 9.16 aspect markers like the ZV-E1for shooting vertical video in horizontal layout? (kzread.info/dash/bejne/X3eKu7OaZ8jYnpM.html) so on the fence between the a7cii & ZV-E1 (I think I can live with the 4k60crop and not having Dynamic Active Stab).

I would definitely go for the Sony A7c ii. I'm happy with the trend of smaller camera bodies. Hoping Sony will developed small and fast full frame lenses. Do you have any info for the Sony A7c ii release details here in the PH?

No information yet on the availability of the new realeses here in the Philippines.

I apply a lut to my footage in Final Cut (like 35% intensity). Is that also possible to bake it into the footage with the A7C II directly (also 35%) ?

You can’t control the intensity of the LUT in camera I think.

I want the ac2. I do a lot of street photography almost zero video and I do some paid work like couples sessions and I think the one card will be fine for that. Weddings not so much can’t redo that. Family photos if push comes to shove you can reschedule at a discount.

Seems like overkill for family dinners and walking around. Maybe a Sony rx100 or Fuji x100 or even iPhoneetc but you do you I like gear too.

Yes. The A7cii is definitely an upgrade from the original A7c.

Is the 6700 not an option as well?

I was thinking about it but my main drawback is the lenses on the wide end. If I go with the a6700, then I won’t be able to use my 20mm lens as a 20mm lens and I would have to buy another lens just for that. You can argue that it would be cheaper, but that’s one more piece of gear added.

Nice to see i'll be selling my a7iv for the smaller bosy shame about the 4k60 crop but hey

Yeah. Well, it's really the same specs with the A7IV when it comes to the frame rates.

New lens coming.. Its bino electronic lens BEL. 5 MM 1200MM LENGTH IS 6 INCHES ONLY. F 2 UPTO FULL ZOOM..WEIGHT ONLY 600GRAMS MFD BY SONY...

You should totally switch, clearly the camera they made last year isn't going to get the shot the new version will. Kids these days will never recoup ROI.

They are different cameras for different use cases. So choosing either to best meet your needs could never be wrong. What I do have an issue with is the price. It's too expensive man!

A7cii has no mechanical shutter right? Correct me if im wrong

No mechanical shutter, only electronic first curtain shutter and fully electronic shutter.

I had the A7C and never had a problem with 1 memory card. Also zv-e1. Though I would use fx-30 if I needed 2

True... I plan to enter professional photography and simply the thought of loosing data because of a faulty memory card keeps me awake at night 😂. So I will buy the A7iv instead of the A7C II. Also the better Grip at the A7 IV is such a selling point for me with my big hands.

@@NikoBols poor evf, single card, buffer very small 14/15 images and than one shot and choking, overpriced, heat issues, micro hdmi, 1/4000, any grip you add is at the price of a7iv, 200 dollars difference with a7iv not worth it, the a7iv is not that much bigger to attract attention, better autofocus with lenses that have 4xd linear motors, all of them over 2000 dollars and user luts are not backed in the footage, just to show you how it will look

@@NikoBols and because after the new firmware update a6700 does the same as you intend with a7c II, nobody will notice that is a crop camera

@@strippedlist well, all of those issues looks like are issues if you’re using the camera for more pro work or heavy usage. Me switching from the A7siii to the ZV-E1 was no issue so I’m guessing I won’t have any issues doing the same with the the A7cii. Although I would disagree with the size. It is a huge difference for me, not so much the size that it gets attention, but the weight when you’re carrying it in your bag. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

@@NikoBols I think you better stay with A74 , moving from A7S3 to ZV-E1 makes sense because , A7S3 is pretty old camera and there is a huge price difference between A7S3 and ZV-E1 but A74 and A7CII they are almost the same price and tech also not that much ahead with the later model. So it's wise to stay with A74 or switch to Fuji cameras like X-T5 ..they are as good as any top full frame cameras in the market and fun to shoot with. So many great third party lens option for Fuji these days.

Really? You want to sell your A7IV for A7CII ... Hmm

@@smallbizdigitalmedia Ok, so WHAT DO YOU USE for your PROFESSIONAL work? Sony A1? Canon R5? We talk about money there. Somebody can be professionalist in 10 years of work, someone can start professionaly one month ago, I don't think anything above A7CII is more needed for anyone at that last case.
