5 Reasons to NOT Ride a Motorcycle!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Here's 5 reasons to NOT ride a motorcycle! If you ride, I bet you can guess reason number 1...
I love riding motorcycles. It's exhilarating, therapeutic, freedom, and adrenaline pumping fun on two wheels. BUT... as with many things, it's risky, and it can be dangerous.

I'm out the demographic, im 16😂 but i never wanted a sportbike, I've always been in love with cruisers cause of how laid back and chill they are. After watching this makes me want to buy a bike more tbh. I personally think im ready for the responsibility for a motorcycle and the responsibility.

just like other girls a lot of parents refuse to let their kids ride motorcycles, the thing that worked for me was earning my parents trust and showing them that i could be responsible and promising them that i would never drink and ride and stuff like that, i was lucky and they came around to it by the time i was legally old enough to get my license, i know pll that are not so lucky though and you might have to wait untill you are 18, then even if your parents still dont want you to ride, they cant legally stop you since you would be considered an adult by then. I hope you can convince them though its the best thing i have ever done, but if not just hold out untill your 18 :)

Excellent vid. Way back in my 20s a dude I knew hit the pavement, and ended up with a skinned foot - maybe the most valuable lesson I think I ever learned. But the dark side of riding is something we all have to learn how to deal with - and if you're lucky, you end up still riding with white hair like mine. Keep on with the excellent vids, and stay safe bro.

I am one of your subscribers who is quite a bit older. I have learned from my dirt bike racing years and road riding, nothing good will happen to someone not wearing appropriate gear. Gear will not stop all injuries, but you can be sure the injuries will be less severe. I have seen riders slide across the oncoming lane to gravel, slick wet man hole covers, the list of hazards is pretty large, but so far hasn't stopped me from riding, been doing it for 40 years and plan to continue. You cannot be too careful when riding or driving, every danger is amplified when on a bike, be careful and enjoy!

The maturity and gear go hand in hand. I have a 7 year old son, and last season I really didn't take the possibility of having an accident seriously. Most of the the immature guys in their 20s feel that they are invincible and they feel they dont need to wear gear. I'm in my mid 20s and I feel I have done alot of growing up the past year, and riding gear I am going to take alot more seriously this riding season and hopefully many more seasons to come. Hopefully people take you seriously and who knows you may have saved a life making this video, and thanks for the great content as always.

I’d definitely have to agree about the maturity thing! Not for nothing, but there are plenty of ignorant immature people on the road that can easily ruin it for a rider. I wouldn’t say I fear owning a motorcycle, but rather more RESPECT it. Happy riding and thanks again. 👍🏼

Yeah that happened to my dad on his way to work, he stopped at a red light and a car smashed straight through him and he was thrown in the air like a rag doll. Turns out the guy was looking down (probably on his phone) and diddn't see the red light. He tried to escape the scene but a mob of bystanders pulled him out of the car and restrained him. The docs told my mum that he could have been paralyzed from the neck down if he were hit on a different angle. Dad's fine now but drives a car daily.

A local high school football player in my area was killed in an accident while riding his motorcycle. He was hit by a drunk driver. He didn’t do anything wrong, and yet he still died. That’s the worst part about riding in my opinion. Obviously that can happen to you in a car as well, but it’s much less likely than on a bike

Nice☺! Quality riding can get really expensive y'all, especially when your looking for comfort, light weight, breathable, durable, stylish (not looking like riding gear) and other things. I'm fully geared when traveling over a half mile away. It's supposed to be all the time but I gained a little weight towards the end of 2020 and can't fit 😫 into 90% of gear owned. I did buy new riding pants that is bigger to fit my current size. It was on sale 80% off regular price. Braking a rule I set for myself before I go out doesn't settle well and leaving me guilty. Great gear is worth it because second chances isn't a guarantee. I value my skin and bones. I simply don't have the funds for avoidable injuries. I've been watching crash videos before purchasing my toy and still currently watching ones I haven't seen here on KZread. Having great tires is awesome for most road conditions and practicing will help you out a lot 😀. If you have AAA and have to do DMV stuff, you can go there to avoid the long wait times.

At first I thought that you should've put a "graphic content warning" over those accident images, but thinking about it I say it was a smart move to not censor it. People need to see that shit and understand how fucked up someone without gear can get, and not scaring them away I say is really respectable!

I’m a trucker and no other trucker that I know wouldn’t put Louisiana as having the worst roads in the country. The three of Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio app roughly tie for 2nd in my book. Parts of Oklahoma and a lot of Texas are just.... Jesus Christ... There are some gems though, that I have noticed, and they seem to be the ones that start with “US” and end with a number, and tend to be in the real Midwest (west of the Mississippi, east of the Rockies, and north of Oklahoma). Tennessee has a few rough spots, but is mostly nice. Traffic is another story though...

My dad has a Yamaha cruiser that almost looks like a tour type of bike which is fuckin awesome in my opnion. Also since I've thought about getting a cruiser. Though I'd say its probably not a good idea to take his bike since its a 1800 cc bike? Opinions or suggestions!! Should i learn to ride that bike with that type of power or a smaller cc?

I remember when i was kid riding my yz80 in a parking lot at 13. well needless to say i pulled the bike up and went over-- hands are your first reaction to the ground an being i had no gloves on and at about 10 miles ph happened to take the first layer off my hands.Always wore gloves ever since.Put them gloves an helmet on riders, they can be your life saver.

I know these things from riding a cycle and driving official races on it. Last time I flew from the bicycle was an endurance race over 140km and it took me off while having 87 km/h and i was surely 30m flying until I crashed down on 50 degree C asphalt. Adrenaline keeps you feeling good. 😉😂

I’m 17 and naked bikes and the dyna series is near the same insurance wise for example a 2017 triumph street triple is around 3004 and a 2017 street bob is like 3200 (basically if it has an R in its name it’ll be expensive for insurance)

I really want to start riding a motorcycle but my parents and most of my family tell me it’s a bad idea. I’m really torn on making the decision.

In my msf class I dropped the motorcycle from “ handbraking while going in a curve” during the drills, not the actual test.Anyways, I was only going 2 mph when I fell, and I had road rash on My knees and elbows! Funny thing was; I had on a long sleeve shirt, and blue jeans. So when the class was over and I got my endorsement, I checked my elbow and knee, and it was showing meat and bleeding!!
