This guy sounds like the person who does the voice overs for the PLASMO plastic model channel. As for the camera, I bought mine nearly 3 years ago. Still use it today, love it! The original battery unfortunately does not last as long and I have since replaced it while getting spares. I think the battery fared slightly longer than my Canon Rebel T3's batteries. But still within the approximation of what one could expect in terms of its potential lifespan for operation, the battery I mean. I do not use it for professional purposes nor a current career. But when you want high quality shots, it delivers too easily with what I have to setup with other models and makes. The camera lacks a selfie-mode capability with the lens only being allowed to angle upwards or downwards. There is an accessory attachment I obtained that uses mirrors (hah, mirrors for the mirrorless, guess we can't all run from our demons!) to reflect the LCD view front-side when you aim the camera at yourself. Some things to consider for new and avid owners!

I checked the channel, we have a pretty similar accent. Thanks for the comment. I have a question why you don't use an app to connect the camera to your phone? Everything is immediately visible and you can change the settings via your phone, very convenient.

Panasonic GX85 is the best photo camera that I ever have. I use DCC40 to calibrate the camera manual white balance before I took any shoot. As the result, I could claim that hardly anyone could take better image quality than my photo since If the color of the photo is distorted, there is no photo quality at all. Of course, I would not use GX85 for video unless it is setup on a tripod.

Is the DCC40 some kind of filter? Yes, it's a great camera. I think it all depends on the photographer's style; if they do a lot of work in Photoshop, they can change anything they want there, and colors are not as important for them.

I got the Lumix G85, which is esencially the same camera, and I really love it. My only problem with it are the depth of field. I love shallow depth and with this camera it's a little bit complicated. I have been tried with speedboosters and the results are better but it's not the same as the S5.

I had a G85, and I think it's a better camera than the GX85 if you're shooting video, thanks to its microphone output and weather-sealed body. The difference in bokeh between full-frame (FF) and Micro Four Thirds (MFT) is about 2 stops, meaning if you want the same bokeh as on an S5 with an F2.8 lens, you need an F1.4 lens on an MFT. The choice of lenses is limited here, though, to be honest.

Yes, the quality is cool, I think because there was enough light and I shot at minimum ISO. I plan to then make an “entertaining video” where I will shoot with this camera and with a camera that is about 10 times more expensive (Lumix S5 or S5ii) and let’s see if the audience can guess which camera is which.

For most tasks, 30 minutes is enough. It's strange-I thought they were identical. I searched for information, and everything points to this: "The Panasonic GX80 and GX85 are essentially the same camera, with the main difference being regional branding."

In my country, cameras and lenses sometimes pop up at great prices, but they get snapped up quickly (I buy them too). I messaged a seller on the marketplace almost an hour after he listed a camera, and by the time I arrived, he said 4 other people had already inquired about buying it. A month ago, there was a Lumix G7 for sale with a kit lens for just 180 euros! I missed out on buying it because I hesitated too long.

@@GearGeekB How is that? I just checked and it costs 280 euros (+28 shipping) from Europe. I recommend trying to buy within your own country; if a camera costs 300 euros on eBay, it means eBay takes about ~45 euros. So the person is actually willing to sell it for 255 euros. When I bought mine, I wrote to the seller an hour after he posted it. The next day, when I was buying it, he said that 5 more people were ready to buy it after me.
