I am mom to a UCR grad (sociology). Congratulations on your graduation! What are your plans after UCR? I also have a rising high school Senior who wants to major in political science. I would love it if you could comment on the department as well as the career center.

I've got a lot of plans coming up, one of which is to travel, so I'm excited for that! The Political Science major is under CHASS (College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences), so I'd look into their advising center. I'd also recommend looking into the School of Public Policy. UCR is of the few universities to have a school just for public policy, and it's very adjacent to political science.
