5 RARE FREEZE FRAME TRANSITIONS | Premiere Pro 2022 (Tutorial)
In this video I'm going to show you how to create 5 amazing freeze frame transitions in Premiere Pro! These are really easy to make and can add a lot of impact to your videos. In today's example, I will be using some vintage music video footage.
The basis of any freeze frame effect is adding a frame hold wherever you want the clip to freeze. From there you can add an opacity mask and get creative. This transition effect is perfect for music videos, lifestyle and hype edits.

Great question, I like to watch the video through a few times after doing the first cut. During the watch through, I look for transition areas that need a little more spice. As i mentioned in this tutorial, I decided to do one of the freeze frames on the piano note hitting the beat. I try to time all my effects with the instrumental of the song.

@@VenterVisuals when i play the mask back overtop over the previous frame, the mask does not gradually reveal with the keyframe. it stays a full mask
