I would also add that jeans/trouser style depends on body shape. As a tall, chunky-thighed hourglass pear I am delighted to see wide legs and high waists back in, and being a flatter-tummied non-apple elastane is fine for me. I don't have any skinnies, I will never wear skinnies. I feel for many years I have been cast into the jeans wilderness but at last I feel included again! Current trends are very much my vibe. At last. 😊

Wide, slouchy jeans do nothing for my figure, boot cut or flared suit me far better😊

Ankle grazers fine, capris are very old lady on holiday to me!

so many look frumpy in the wider-leg jeans. I prefer a narrow straight cut that fits well.

Lots of us are determined to wear fashionable/trendy clothing even though their shapes are truly not flattering or good choices for our body types. Leggings and skinny jeans are the perfect example of that. By far the vast majority of us do not have figures to pull them off in a flattering way. At least oversized clothing does not reveal private things about a body that the public would rather not see.

I hope the white sneaker look stays in style!! I have to have sneakers because everything else feels so bad to my feet!!

I’ve been reluctant to wear my skinny jeans with boots, I like them, may be I will wear them next winter. Not a fan of wide leg at all and I cannot do tight top due to a little belly issue. Like the low rise because I have a short torso…. I just can’t win…..

I'm very happy wider leg jeans are in, they suit my figure. Unfortunately I still find tops are still mainly oversized, I'm always looking for fitted T-shirts and tops.

I aways wear my skinny jeans in the winter with knee boot's and I'm 70 in 2 months but i do like a longer sweater with them.

Mmmh, I love my chunky and platform shoes,so will keep on wearing them. Love the looser jeans,really really do not like the short shorts or even the idea of capris. Love the relaxed button shirts,especially in linen for the spring and summer.

The "short shorts" - "I think Im skipping that one!" That made me chuckle, yep at 56 Ill be skipping that too! 😅

the bootcut is really popular from M&S and thats fitted around rear and thighs.

Some wonderful guidelines however living in a cold climate I will be holding on to my skinny jeans (not painted on but tapered in style) and shall continue wearing them during snow season, as work best with most cold weather boot designs. Also as to fitted shirts/blouses feel they do have a purpose if wanting to wear them as an underlay for a sleeveless sweater (jumper) vest.

I enjoy your videos but it would help me a lot if you would leave the photos up for longer so I can see them better before they flash away. Thanks as always.

Skinny jeans are the best for boots in the winter they are so neat and warm. I find wearing a skirt fun but sometimes difficult to style as yo get lumps and bumps in the middle, a bodysuit is neat but can highlight the mid roll. Any ideas appreciated.

A peplum blouse over, or ruched blouse or dress would work.

I like the mid rise jeans. I have no waist and narrow hips and they look better on me (obviously I cover the midriff lol) Skinny jeans only look good on me if I wear boots…so I tend to avoid jeans altogether if possible.

Like fitted shirts and looser blouses

I have never really taken to skinny jeans, as a tall hourglass, 70 years old, they make me feel too body con and self conscious, as I was as a teenager. Always gone for straight legged, high rise if possible, as long in the crotch. Shirts, now too masculine for my shape, I need a softer blouse shape, nothing too classic. I do love the outfit you are wearing - on you - it looks so smart and the crisp lines (is it navy and white or black and white?) give an edge with your colouring. Much better than those insipid soft, faded colours the lady recommended at your colour season! I think that crispness works with your hair so much and still works with your skin. Can't see your eye colour, are they dark still (if you were an autumn)? One of the best looks I have seen you in!

Hi Anne Marie ,agree contradictions . I’m not seeing mature Women in skinny jeans , younger ones yes . Leggings well some Women love them . Personally I think they need to worn tunic less !too Wide leg jeans ( barrel type ) don’t look good on petites in my opinion , agree worn with baggy tops would swamp a lot of us 💕💕

We are so lucky today to have so much choice and so many chances. When I was young women appeared to jump into crimplene dresses in excruciating patterns with very ugly shoes and thick stockings. Everyone all at once. I swore I wouldn’t do it and luckily the world felt the same and we can do as we please.

I do not like dark wash. Never did. Im not sure why tho...Also hate lowrise. Lol

I don't wear fashion. My style is what I am inside. I only like skinny jeans with boots, never liked them with flats or sneakers, they make my feet look way too big 😉. However...Skinny jeans is not and will never be out of style. The Aline and high waist is superb

Summer rain here is really light and dries off quickly. Wellies would be too hot as well. I wear trainers.

I am very petite with a short body and slim - personally I think high rise jeans are downright awful, if you have a tummy, they just emphasise it, a mid or slightly lower rise jean is much more flattering on me. I think to get away with high rise jeans you have to be extremely young and extremely slim. Mid rise is much more flattering on most women.

i loved the capsleeve black ruffled shirt you had on with the wide leg jeans!! you look so hot in that!! Do you know if cropped blazers are in? the kind that end where ones rib cage begins?

If your pettie a boot cut or higher waisted flare jean will make you look like you have legs for days even with a lower heal. Short shorts that’s a body suit! Lol the young girls will be almost naked 🤪

Good video but wide leg jeans for 60 plus is to young and trying to hard like straight cut or bootcut much better

My capris are fitted slightly above ankle not baggy below knee it's a no no

Trinny & Suzanna always said that the best way to make your bum and tum look bigger was a pair of high rise jeans or trousers. I've got a low waist so luckily can get away with mid rise.

The only jeans I wear are Alfred Dunner. Other jeans are too uncomfortable. At age 52, if you are still worried about an hourglass figure, you are really going to have an uphill battle because those days are behind us and you’re just going to make yourself miserable.
