It's a bait TBH. At least in the version in the video. Unleashed power sends two volcanic orbs if you have twinbeam, but that's where the pros end. You need to stand in place for 3s for it to proc, which is eternity in this game and it will eat all of your mana even with all the reduction traits. Flame vent seems to be a bit better, because you don't need to charge it up for whole 3s, but can release meteors early. However the meteor range is really small compared to manual cast (I hope it's a bug). Disintegrate is overall a good leveling spell and it wasn't that bad early on, but progressing through normal monoliths made me channel the spell for 3s to cast the orb really rarely, so I ditched it and I'll try to do more ignite-based one.

@@Midaspl Yeah i was honestly curious how much of an issue mana would be with both fireball and volcanic orb procs, good to know! I wish they would add reduced time to proc unleashed power based off cast speed, and even limit it if becomes too broken, just to actually make the node feel better

Curiously, don't you need Pact of the Desert and Gloom and Doom to actually get any shadows from lethal mirages skills? I can't imagine the shadows just from decoy/smoke bomb are enough to warrant all the shadow synergy, especially if you just just plan on mirage flicking all over maps? You'd have to wait for the 5sec cd (with talent) per lethal mirage to get more power from the shadows, which seems a bit slow. Maybe I'm missing something.

For lightning disintigrate, you could also work in Liath's Machinations to 100% convert fireball to lightning, and then take the fireball node in disintigrate

The shadow dagger procs will be carrying you for quite some time FYI, for the rest of the gear try to get tons of crit chance/multi, with lightning damage to scale lethal mirage and lightning sticky explosive traps dodge rating, health, health leech, endurance and dex, need that dodge rating very high to make use of the passives at the end of blade dancer tree. I haven't had time to test out the build myself because I've been so busy with work, but i hope it works out for you my guy, if you have issues post here and we can try to work out the kinks

For now im trying fire desintegrate, its a bit clunky - you want to continue channel desintegrate to do dmg and cast volcanic orb, but at the same time you dont want to do it all time, otherwise you cant cast fireball. So looking for lightning version, it can be more promising.

Im playing sorcerer for sure last season i played it too and had a blast

How do you scale Lethal Mirrage exactly? I found myself getting much more damage from the shadow daggers which are getting applied by puncture and lethal mirrage once i got penumbra, so i am not quite sure if its worth it switching lethal mirrage into lightning instead of phys which would add scaling to shadow daggers

I'm curious, what level you are currently and do you have the black blade of chaos sword yet? The reason I added the shadow dagger procs is because daggers are just busted in general lol, even without phys scaling, melee and dex scale It high enough for tons of damage.

@@manarith8081 Yea, i've been leveling with them, and i can totally say they are busted. You dont need crit chance, you can just go all out in crit multi as well. I do have the katana, bought it today, was even able to get 33% melee attack speed through the cycle mechanic. I am level 78. I just don't know how to scale lethal mirage exactly, i need lightning damage, cc, cm, dex probably right, and melee, for it to do some substantial damage. So far shadow dagger procs is what carries me, but i guess my lack of crit chance might be the reason why LM does so little damage.

@@Bishaps Ohh okay i see, so melee attack speed actually doesn't help lethal mirage, it does not make the skill attack faster, only the node that makes mirages appear faster and the new unique sword you have makes it attack faster You definitely want lots of crit chance to help your multi be more effective on LM, Lightning damage will be best as it will scale your mirage and lightning explosive traps, until you get some really hefty crit chance/lightning damage gear, the shadow daggers are going to carry your damage for now

@@manarith8081 I see, thanks! Is dexterity good tho, and on which pieces of gear? The katana has penetration scaling if i remember correctly for both lightning and void damage per number of dex. I would assume i want dex on my boots, and in my passive tree?

To be honest I couldn't say whether any of these will make S or even A tier, I simply just theory crafted some builds I thought would be awesome and fun, if your looking for strong and tanky though that dual shield bash build will get the job done for sure

I love the builds you put up. I know you dont have much time to nit pick much but is there a chance you know a loot filter that would work with the void/lightning sam build? If not thats cool. Keep up the great work.

Appreciate the comment :) As far as loot filters I haven't even gone that far to be honest, but if you want something quick just emphasize Crit chance/multi and lightning damage/melee damage with dodge/health/armor

I am considering the shield bash forge guard, but worried that the damage at high end is going to be lacking. Been seeing some back&forth on this on other channels. Sure, you are likely going to be tanky AF, but if it takes forever to kill something, it will feel like azz. Any thoughts?

To solve that sacrifice tankiness by only using the unique shield (axe) for the flat damage to shield bash and legendary potential to dump more stats from an axe, and pick the node to not need a shield, use another one handed weapon in the other slot, then just avoid building into block chance as a defensive since you won't be rocking a thick shield. Might have to rock paladin aswell and drop the ring of shields for sigils or aura

Dual shield bash forge guard is exactly what I was excited for in this update. Dual shield is always cool when it’s an option and this is finally the reason to play forgeguard I’ve been waiting for since I liked the flavor of it but not the pets. How quickly do you think this build will come online? I’d like to start bashing asap.

You will probably need to at least use one of the FG pets, specifically Ring of Shields which can buff your Block Effectiveness by 50% which considering shield bash now has a node that scales with block effectiveness, Ring of Shields is basically a must. That being said, the cooldown removal can be got at 3 skill level, so u can theoretically level with it and don't necessarily need to wait for it to come on line. I'm planning on levelling with it just start stacking block as soon as u can.

As kitten said, you can start shield bashing pretty much right away, the unique shield itself is level 52 so you could start farming it right away, it drops from the reign of dragon timeline through unique axe echos

@@kittengold9814 I don’t mind ring of shields it feels more like a buff than a minion to me since it’s not going around fighting for me. Especially with how well all the shield stuff works together I’m happy to use this one minion. Great to know I can start bashing super early. Alright I’m pretty locked into my build now for Tuesday. The feeling of being an unstoppable iron juggernaut slamming into and smashing enemies is what matters most to me here.

How do you feel about Avalanche/Storm Bolt vs. Avalanche/Quake?

It's funny you say that because as I was putting it together, I was like man.. storm totem convert to cold would be pretty damn good with this too, and just grab fissure with upheaval. All in all i think storm totem would be good for frostbite stacking, and EQ for more raw boulder damage

I doubt the builds will be super efficient while leveling, but personally I just play the build I want straight through from level 1, I enjoy the role play aspect of playing through a certain build all the way, so I say yeah why not

The two builds I'm interested in are the ones you don't have builds for. When will you have the Duel-wield shield bash and lightning disintegrate?

I played Meteor Sorcerer in the last cycle and after level 90, it was so bad. It couldn't compare to the other specializations.

How is shield bash without the new shield?

You can make it work without the shield, but I could see it struggling with new bosses and especially the pinnacle boss if you don't have the new unique shield/axe with legendary potential

I've done some calculations and although it's doable without the shield weapon, you will lose around 150 Base damage due to reduced Block Effectiveness as well as about 35% multiplicative damage, based on Block Chance so it is definitely a noticeable drop. I'd definitely recommend using the new shield but honestly a random weapon with as many damage mods as u can find is probably fine until u find it.

There is new builds for Acolyte, unfortunately it is the only class in Last Epoch I have very little experience in, so I didn't theory craft any builds because of that. There is a new unique 2h weapon that massively buffs minion damage and shade skills though

shield bash looks fun but the clear speed is horribly and the boss dmg is probably around average the only thing that is highly positive about that build is the insane tankiness.

@@chetbudreau5232 shield bash is probably best with Forgeguard to stack block chance and ring of shields skill since bash scales damage with block, otherwise you could go paladin and use the unique shield (axe) with another weapon dual wield and benefit from fire passive increase with fire converted bash

Ewww even more meme beam mage builds. It would be cool to see something other than the same thing we've seen since Diablo 2, that's 24 years now. I love EHG as a company, but it would be cool to see some genuinely new ideas for character and class design, instead of just flat out copy/paste from the Diablo/Blizzard formula. I mean just naming Shamans proc ability Maelstrom and programming it to behave similarly to how it behaves in World of Warcraft feels bad. Lich was a banger for Acolytes, and an original class design based on the lich ethos. It was an inspired creation, and it would be great to see that same attention to detail afforded to other classes such as Primalist and Mage. There is nothing more boring than watching the gameplay of a meme beam mage. I would rather watch paint dry. 😂
