Nah, it's great.. so impressive, the Frostbite engine with WW1 theme is so beautiful.

+Plank Milos All those idiots who didn't even know what EA Battlefront would look like kept on saying bullshit like "Battlefront is going to be a Battlefield clone or a sci-fi reskin". So when they tried to make something drastically different they goofed up with unnecessary modes and half-assed customization. On top of that, they were too lazy to add in a single player mode and thought people would buy it nonetheless because it is a Star Wars game.

i'm so excited for this game OMG!!!

Ah WWI, where men went scurrying around towns in a frantic shooting arena, and individual tanks were used to conquer hilltops. Oh and of course they would be suggested or strongly advised to listen to orders on their miniature portable radio, the "walky-talky," which hasn't been invented yet.

I hope there are more weapons. I heard somewhere that there is a variant per gun, making it 2 different weapons. Ex: You'll have 10 rifles available, but technically its 5, with each one having a variant to it.

i don't know, but i think the game has moderate number of weapons (i've seen lvlcap showing the locked weapon in the pre-alpa build), kinda like bf3 (5-8 weapons each class) only the difference is each guns have like 2 or 3 variant.. so, i think you can relax

i think there'll be an open beta build few months before the release date, you should definitely check it out.. it will be free, and try to play it on both version to see it for yourself :)

A zeppelin can smash half a town when it crashes, and the crash is completely unscripted.

WW1 weapons are supoosed to be clumsy, This war isn't supposed to be clean and glorious. It should be messy. And there was no snipers, just sharpshooters.

Germany and Britain would like a word with you... Germany had by WWI had a sniper academy, Britain kind of sort of was trying to attempt to copy Germany... The U.S. though did have gloried rifleman known as sharpshooters equipped with 1903 Springfields that had horrible scopes that weren't worth jack shit. Today these Springfields are in questionable condition and sold at premium price because of "history" and "value"...

I absolutely hate wounding someone with a sniper if I hit them in the chest. Like, you can't shrug off a severed spine or a punctured heart. I find it dumb wound someone if it's not a headshot.

How about "We must capture objective Mittens!"

iiNova Oh yeah, no doubt. I am aware of the changes made between BF4 and BF1. But after watching all the game footage - it plays just like a WW2 game. The combat is faster - lots of lose quarters - armored vehicles and plentiful automatic weapons on the field. Skirmishing tactics with an emphasis on location holding - it's basically a WW2 game. A WWI game would have a very strong design to compliment *ranged rifle* warfare with little sprinkles of unarmored vehicles, horses, and skirmishing units used to hold and claim sparse CQC areas that are held down by ranged fire - but that's not in this design at all. And really - the feel of the game is a lot like BF4. IF you watch a lot of BF4 and then watch this - you can see the difference, and from what I've heard, it *plays* a lot like BF4 too - albeit with subtle changes and tweaks!

There is bullet drop, but the bullet velocety has been increased. in addition to that, the bullets will have drag, which means that they have a different speed when they leave the barrel than when they hit the target.

No there's bullet drop. But there isn't any zeroing. Most early scopes didn't have sight dials.

My Solution to the Bolt Action Debacle, Current Draft- Preface: Dice is not obligated to make a historically REALISTIC game, but they are obligated to make a historically AUTHENTIC game. Want to respect the lives of those who were thrown into that slaughter and what it means for our human condition? Well we have a duty to make sure we don't bastardise the public perspective of the war. There is a middle ground in between the BF formula that we're used to, and a MilSim, so stop thinking we have to go to either extreme. As a note, I'd recommend to everyone who is interested to listen to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History podcast: Blueprint for Armageddon series about WW1, really good. >Recon/Medic should have full access to bolt actions (medic was apparently confirmed for BA use) recon having scopes, and assault/support having a single bolt action, which will change based on faction, battlefield 3 style. Hear me out, I can explain. >Important! >I haven't watched yet so I'm not sure if this was brought up, but people on Reddit agreeWhen I say a single bolt action for the other classes, I mean to still let scout/recon have full range of bolt actions. All are available to unlock regardless of faction, and in the case of scout, can have scopes. This makes the scout into a real WW1 pro sniper, differentiating them from the other classes' use of bolt actions. Remember that at that period in history, snipers were using the same rifles as the footsoldiers, but with better training and scopes. If you play assault for example, you could start with your faction BA (SMLE if British, Gewehr 98 if German, etc) just like the faction starting weapons in BF3. After you level up once or twice you unlock the specialized weapon chain for that class (assault gets shotguns and SMGs, support gets LMGs etc) The BA use for other classes should be limited in order to prevent the classes from becoming too similar. The BAs would be optional, and allow for both bayonet use for attack based classes, and the historical accuracy that entails. Imagine how cool operations trench warfare will be if the assault class can make bayonet runs just like a real trooper. Meanwhile, the sniper can still use any BA they want with scopes and such just like a real WW1 sniper. I think those are the two most important things that I think of off the top of my head that would be really easy to fix. Bayonets only for BAs and Semis (this seems bad for gameplay for SMGs to have bayonets too, they didn't IRL, I repeat), as well as faction BAs for the non-sniper classes. Thoughts? I'd love for people, especially the big KZread celebs to help push these ideas, Reddit agrees with these ones I've found, I think these solutions are the key for two problems so far. What else can you think of? PS: That metal armor from the trailer is historical bullshit and it'll make a bunch of people think that Knights were basically In WWI :p PSS: I really want the music to have a lot of old military brass/trumpet/bugle. It really captures the WW1 feel, AC Syndicate used it well in the WW1 segment.

it'll do 100 damage to the chest if you snipe at a 'sweet spot', means you snipe at a perfect distance and your bullet reaches its max velocity before slowing down because of the bullet drag.. correct me if i wrong because that's what i remember

A couple things...Needs more bullet drop. Pistol needs far less accurate range. Also, less health all around. You're getting shot by rifles and machine guns, not be Air-Soft pellets. You shouldn't be able to take 3-4 shots from anything and still be walking.
