A man with shoulders broader than most teams. Tireless work ethic, warrior mentality. Brute strength, yet gifted with sumptuous touches and agility. Intelligent and a team player above all. Typified the term 'defending from the front'. Not a prolific scorer by far, but a scorer of great goals. Words can't express how much joy this man brought to me and CFC fans of that era. Drogba made the space for Lampard to get a majority of his goals. A very tactical and accommodating striker who had an impeccable big game record. Drogba is proof it’s not all about stats. The eye test will show he was an absolute nuisance for opposition defences.

The younger generation should learn about Chelsea’s coward boring football. And how they cheated to win. London was in good weather, but their pitch was deliberately flooded with water. Their pitch was bumpy, with holes and big lumps of mud. They did this because they wanted to stop other teams from playing football. Chelsea was a team that hoof the ball up to the air, they were a physical violent team. In their play, they don’t need the ball to travel on the ground, so they are less affected. They are not playing a game of who is better in football. They are playing a game of who is more physical. The younger generation, if you are reading this comment. Don’t be a chelsea fan. one of drogba's most daunting and dangerous qualities is that while he has the typical target man build of being 6'2, huge in presence, and dominating in the air, he still manages to craft this insane jackie chan or bruce lee precision about maximizing his ability to dare, and to not settle. im guessing this was at his marseille days too, but that ability to shift your body at 6'2 to caress the ball, score tremendously styled free kicks and the volley like everton or that glorious left footed chip where the angle seemed crazy, reminds me of humans like a jackie chan that interpreted their own body to be crafted and used at the highest possible standard it isn't normal for a 6'2 striker with that much muscle mass to have some of his alien like abilities and there is a semblance to ronaldinho is how he maximised his ability with absurd footballing intricacies that no player will ever do

easily a top 5 striker in the prem of all time it is crazy to think such a player existed. we haven't seen a replacement from over 15 years now strong, 6'2, mastered heading, insane genetics to maintain a muscular build while also being technical, amazing striking technical from a balance of many usages that make less predictable in the box, relatively good enough pace to scare CBs, amazing hold up play, and to add to all this, very good intelligence and movement to add with said qualities his only weakness truly are his playmaking skills and lack of flexibility as a striker. these are definitely two traits that add to your overall package and when i watched him at times he weighted easy passes poorly but he always knew to take a high sense of responsibility while making the minor mistakes overall, a fantastic striker to assess and he would be the best striker in the world by at least a tier in this generation. imagine how much he would spin dier while also making cower in fear over his presence alone didier drogba is a pretty deadly sounding name as well. iconic my top 5 of all time is henry berbatov torres drogba owen, rvp, or suarez not sure anyone else comes close for the position. rvn is a close consideration but lacks any real qualities that will transcend bar his hyper striker intelligence and strange languid technique while being robust in frame

I became a Drogba fan after forllowing him from Marseille to Chelase. He is a stonecold legend and we have never had anything close to him as astriker apart from some glimpses from Costa. When he came to my hometown of Montreal he provided some brilliant moments as well a leader by example.

The first time I watched Drogba play, I knew I was going to start supporting Chelsea. Drogba was a power of nature every rivel defense was scared to come up against this guy. I watched Ronaldo 9, Zedan, Ronaldinho, kaka, the Italian league, then there comes the Premier League, Chelsea, and José Mourinho since then the league was never been the same. After Didier arrival changed dimension of EPL, one center forward is enough, he was proper number 9 ( all in all) hold the ball, link up play, can play both inside & outside from the box, definitely EPL great 💙

Personaly I think, he is the main reason (outside of Lampard himself, of course) why Lampard was able to score so many goals and became one of the most scoring midfielders in PL history. Dude worked in front like an american truck. He was going and going and going and never stoped! He was creating space and chances for second wave (midfield) like nobody else! True comment. If you rematch full game Highlights, the first thing you notice is his work ethic up and down. He was able to control goal kicks, clearences with an incredible first touch that allowed the team to get space and position on the field. I dont see Drogba as an finisher, he was like the providin support in the offense AND also able to score goals.

Drogba made the space for Lampard to get a majority of his goals. A very tactical and accommodating striker who had an impeccable big game record. Drogba is proof it’s not all about stats. The eye test will show he was an absolute nuisance for opposition defences.

The younger generation should learn about Chelsea’s coward boring football. And how they cheated to win. London was in good weather, but their pitch was deliberately flooded with water. Their pitch was bumpy, with holes and big lumps of mud. They did this because they wanted to stop other teams from playing football. Chelsea was a team that hoof the ball up to the air, they were a physical violent team. In their play, they don’t need the ball to travel on the ground, so they are less affected. They are not playing a game of who is better in football. They are playing a game of who is more physical. The younger generation, if you are reading this comment. Don’t be a chelsea fan. one of drogba's most daunting and dangerous qualities is that while he has the typical target man build of being 6'2, huge in presence, and dominating in the air, he still manages to craft this insane jackie chan or bruce lee precision about maximizing his ability to dare, and to not settle. im guessing this was at his marseille days too, but that ability to shift your body at 6'2 to caress the ball, score tremendously styled free kicks and the volley like everton or that glorious left footed chip where the angle seemed crazy, reminds me of humans like a jackie chan that interpreted their own body to be crafted and used at the highest possible standard it isn't normal for a 6'2 striker with that much muscle mass to have some of his alien like abilities and there is a semblance to ronaldinho is how he maximised his ability with absurd footballing intricacies that no player will ever do

easily a top 5 striker in the prem of all time it is crazy to think such a player existed. we haven't seen a replacement from over 15 years now strong, 6'2, mastered heading, insane genetics to maintain a muscular build while also being technical, amazing striking technical from a balance of many usages that make less predictable in the box, relatively good enough pace to scare CBs, amazing hold up play, and to add to all this, very good intelligence and movement to add with said qualities his only weakness truly are his playmaking skills and lack of flexibility as a striker. these are definitely two traits that add to your overall package and when i watched him at times he weighted easy passes poorly but he always knew to take a high sense of responsibility while making the minor mistakes overall, a fantastic striker to assess and he would be the best striker in the world by at least a tier in this generation. imagine how much he would spin dier while also making cower in fear over his presence alone didier drogba is a pretty deadly sounding name as well. iconic my top 5 of all time is henry berbatov torres drogba owen, rvp, or suarez not sure anyone else comes close for the position. rvn is a close consideration but lacks any real qualities that will transcend bar his hyper striker intelligence and strange languid technique while being robust in frame

I became a Drogba fan after forllowing him from Marseille to Chelase. He is a stonecold legend and we have never had anything close to him as astriker apart from some glimpses from Costa. When he came to my hometown of Montreal he provided some brilliant moments as well a leader by example.
If today a mediocre player is worth 40 million, then Drogba would be worth 1 billion. Strong, left, right, sublime detachment, eye for goal, penalty taker, set pieces, dedicated to the team, respected by all. Absolute legend.
That moment i've seen drogba playing was very beautiful 💙 im so lucky. Ty legend!!

The first time I watched Drogba play, I knew I was going to start supporting Chelsea. Drogba was a power of nature every rivel defense was scared to come up against this guy. EPL was partnership forwards like owen & hesky, Henry & bergkamp, Andy cole & Sheringham etc.... After Didier arrival changed dimension of EPL, one center forward is enough, he was proper number 9 ( all in all) hold the ball, link up play, can play both inside & outside from the box, definitely EPL great 💙
Personaly I think, he is the main reason (outside of Lampard himself, of course) why Lampard was able to score so many goals and became one of the most scoring midfielders in PL history. Dude worked in front like an american truck. He was going and going and going and never stoped! He was creating space and chances for second wave (midfield) like nobody else! Exacly like someone wrote/told - stats dont show you, how good and important this guy for his teams was.

True comment. If you rematch full game Highlights, the first thing you notice is his work ethic up and down. He was able to control goal kicks, clearences with an incredible first touch that allowed the team to get space and position on the field. I dont see Drogba as an finisher, he was like the providin support in the offense AND also able to score goals.
He was a phenomenal player he loved scoring against Arsenal 🙌
