Hello Ash! Classical music snob here - the second pattern can be referred to as "broken chords" - a common exercise pianists use for playing rhythmic chords using all the inversions.

I usually kinda use the riff type melodies, in my current experiments, but I really like to use triplets. Therefore I have some short triplet changes between notes . I either have all three on the same note, or some minor jumps. But I never thought about combining Arp like melodies, with these ones. I'll definetly try it out^^

What about the melody that knock2 use on the last song of their Room202 show set. When the people asked for last song, he touched a song that after the drop had a melody so emotive, nostalgic and it almost made me cry.

there's 2 options if you don't know anything about chords 1. if you're willing to learn, watch this playlist: kzread.info/head/PLPboS4uYgE8qWAkEEixUvkc0jUnPFRlPe&si=dapFLmSa1LFntKyr 2. if you don't wanna learn, maybe music composition / production isn't for you
