Oh its worse than that. Apparently he was destined to destroy some alien villain's home world. Naturally the thing to do his bring him back from the dead after his heroic death (or suicide, depending on your interpretation of the story). Seriously, if they villain hadn't decided to clone Colossus then he'd be perfectly fine. It's even worse because Morrison wanted to bring Colossus back but was told he couldn't because at the time Marvel was trying to claim "dead is dead". Then they green light one of the worst resurections ever because they wanted to make Whedon happy. Speaking of Morrison, kinda surprised Magneto/Xorn didn't make the worst list. First Magneto "dies". Then we find out Magneto was impersonating Xorn. Then Magneto dies. Then Chuck Austen comes along and we find out that the second Magneto was Xorn pretending to be Magneto while pretending to be a different Xorn (yes, there are two of them now). Meanwhile the real Magneto was perfectly fine... somehow.

My favorite death and return is superman. I think it's the best, i love it. It gave us new characters like steel and superboy; and it turned Hal Jordan into a villain. I'm curious about your opinion, do you think it was a good one or bad one?

Actually, in one of Frank Miller’s final issues, it was shown that Elektra was in fact still alive so she was resurrected a while before the story you put on this list.

I think you got the lists mixed up. Aunt May and Bucky are the only ones you're right about (well, obviously bringing Cap back was a great call but the way they did it was pure Silver Age silly and it was technically more retcon than resurection since we didn't know he was supposed to be dead before that).

Wait so are all of these comics then, in continuation? Like if right now somebody does an infinity war type of thing and hella characters die, but they don’t get brung back, nobody can use them without finding a way to bring them back? I’m confused

Yeah something like that if in one universe someone is dead you comic writers cannot use the character if they dont bring him back, exepr maybe flashbacks and untold stories in the past

So the Avengers team was already formed when Captain America was defrosted, in the comics, yet people bitch about the Captain Marvel movie "retconning" him as the first Avenger in the movies - despite him still being the first official member recruited into the group and Carol not even being around when the group is founded.
