Everything you mentioned is true - LOL but you gotta admit they've stepped up their game big time!

Beautiful car no doubt, but I would be careful....maybe give them a year to work out the kinks on the redesign. "Car Confections" bought one as a long term vehicle and they had transmission issues the 2nd day at 27 miles. They said Hyundai told them they needed a new transmission and replaced it with no hassle. Now the new transmission is having similar issues again and the car is in the shop. The car currently has 3700 miles. Does it mean all cars will have issues, no, but would make me think twice about buying the new redesigned model until its been out awhile.

I totally see your point - makes sense with any new consumer product that comes out. I actually saw Car Confections video… that is a bit strange. The car we had has around 2k miles with no issues. Maybe Car Confections was a one off situation? Not making excuses for Hyundai but I used to own a Santa Fe for many years with no real issues. However mine was older. We’ll see how this new redesign holds up!

They did everything right, except the back, which is a big deal breaker.

I agreed with that when I first saw it but honestly the more time I spent with it the more I liked it! Full review coming soon!

At least they have a valid reason for the low tail lights

Lets see how long these useless toys and features last considering the massive reputation of problems and failure that IS Hyundai/Kia. Its no mystery why basic simply and well engineered vehicles last much longer. Let me know when this scrap pile has been running longer than my 1984 Ford SUV still with its original engine.

I’ve always known Hyundai & Kia as reliable and reputable. I used to own a Santa Fe for many years as our family car and had almost zero issues. However I did have a couple of complaints about this car - full review coming soon - stay tuned!

@@Joe-Markus Want to discuss the class action lawsuit where Hyundai/Kia were forced by a court to pay millions to buyers because they knowingly installed defective engines at the factory? Ive been repairing vehicles for a living for 52 years and i keep up with all of that.

@@donreinke5863 right. you should know that many automotive companies have similar lawsuits. Not just Hyundai and kia. I can name a couple if you want with toyota which is one of the most trusted out there.

@@jorgedeaguinaga2632 It is true that Toyota was fined one billion dollars by the NTSB, but that was for refusing to cooperate with a government investigation into its regenerative braking system on Prius models which was alleged to cause crashes. That was not a defective engine issue. Other than Hyundai/Kia, the last knowingly defective class action engine lawsuit I knew of was against GM for that abomination known as the Cadillac 8-6-4 in the early 1980s. Not many people buy Cadillacs, but a LOT of people bought Hyundai and Kia Toyota admitted to "oil gelling" (sludging) issues on its 4 cylinders used in 90s Camry models, but I dont know if they were actually sued over that Ford SHOULD be sued over that 4 cyl Ecoboost disaster of an engine.
