That footage of the Krakatoa eruption was like the QUINTESSENTIAL image of a volcano you imagine when you think of one. That beautiful, lone, cone shaped mountain, lava erupting from the top like a geyser and flowing down the slopes in such a picturesque way as the smoke billows up into the sky. A Dangerous beauty. And the COLOR of the icelandic volcano, that lava looked like a GLOWING MAGENTA color, and against the cool greys of everything else, stunning!

I have always been fascinated by volcanos. If it wasn't for volcanos there would be no land on Earth; it would still be a ocean world. Watching this I get the urge to stick my finger down the vent, push my arm down and, far below the surface, take a handful of the Earth's living heart. Thank you so much for this astounding and gorgeous footage with no music!

Did you know that the sound of Krakatoa erupting in 1883 was captured by an early cylinder recording, and it's on KZread? Has anyone seen the La Palma eruption footage? When that Icelandic volcano erupted in 2010, there was a yellow tinge on the horizon and I could smell sulphur in the air. I live in London, UK.

Notice when zooming in on Sakurajima the bay the volcano is sitting in? That's the Aira caldera Sakurajima's parent, which feeds the volcano it's magma supply, the thing is Sakurajima erupts less than the refilling rate of the caldera, meaning some day, the caldera proper will erupt violently in its own right.

I've always been fascinated by how the ash clouds of volcanos burst up and then just hang there, folding and rolling in on themselves. I should probably look up the properties of ash clouds, but I'm still just amazed at how they don't just instantly spread out onto everything in sight and block our view. I don't know why I expect to see a wider cloud dispersal, but I always do. Seeing the ash clouds form a pillar rather than fall onto the ground and then spread is always awesome to me.

There is the La Plasma volcano in Spain that keeps erupting to a point where they even have a livestream set up for it.

The icelandic volcano erupted just three weeks prior to our trip from Europe to the US. We had planned to marry in Las Vegas, and with everything being prepared and already paid for, I feared for the trip to be cancelled. We were really lucky though with our flight and had an amazing trip with us indeed tying the knot in Vegas.

Hello and yes I agree. ty (ty stands for thank you) for NOT over laying this video with music so that we can hear the sonic booms caused by the volcanic eruptions and the volcanic eruptions themselves. And would it be possilbe if I could clip a few pieces of this video to make another one? I would really appreciate it if you would let me clip a few pieces of this video ready for my next one.
