One you should try is the Old Forester Rye 100 proof. A real bargain, around $25 for a liter and having a sweeter profile than most ryes on the market. 65%, 20% malted barley, and 15% corn gives it a real nice, balanced pallet.

I don't know if I should be embarrassed or proud that I knew every bottle before you turned them around 🤦I would definitely add the Benchmark Full Proof which finally made it to Illinois and maybe Very Old Bartons 100 proof or even better once in a while under 30 the 1792 Small Batch, definitely not under 30 but if you're in Indiana and not familiar you have to check out the Old 55 juices.🥃

Definitely something to be proud of! 😆 Benchmark’s entire lineup is readily available here in Seymour (Indiana). And it’s definitely affordable and pretty darn good! 1792 is definitely a great bottle. Old 55 is great, but I did get a bad bottle. Maybe I will have to share what’s wrong with it on an episode in the future!

Another good one is Old Fitzgerald 80 proof. A little lower proof, but a decent pour for around $20.

Nothing wrong with that! Lower proof options are great, and that is a great price! I haven’t had it. Will have to give it a try.

Love the lineup, We just were able to Early Times BIB, my new favorite. WT 101 always good, OGD BIB is also one we really like. EW would be at the bottom for us as well. We haven't been able to find JTS yet. Sláinte

Hey David! You like what you like, so no problem with that. I love WT ryes as well. Would love to get my hands on this year’s Master’s Keep. For now, 101 rye and Rare Breed Rye will have to do! Ha!

Love this, too much about the allocated $50+ bourbons out there. Tons of great stuff out there available and at a lower price point. Standard Maker's Mark and Old Forester 86 are a a couple of my go-tos. If you have a Trader Joe's near by their 90 proof bourbon is surprisingly good for under $20. And the EW 1783 might be better than the Bib, at least straight-up, maybe not in a cocktail.
