Great acting, many laughs and no cursing or cgi. This is what great movies are made of! Such a laid back, beautiful era. Thank you so much for sharing!❤
Anything with Ernie Kovacs is time well spent. Thanks
Sometimes in life I just need a minute, so I look for something meaningless and a distraction from the heaviness of this world. This took me out of my situation for a while and entertained me and for that I am thankful I came across this gem of a movie.

Same with the chinese youtube clone site, but it's in chinese, so you have to use chrome to translate the page, or since you already know how to use youtube, it works the same way, just use the same routine to play the videos.

It is a great Classic Hollywood Movie. In addition, it deserves to be watched many times.💙
sixties hair do's On my 15 birthday my Mother took me to her hairdresser, I wanted a little flip hairdo, but the hairdresser gave me a hair do like my Mothers, like these middle age women in this movie, thank goodness it was raining when we left, a silk scarf hid the 15 yr old little old lady😂 Love this Movie❤😊

My guess is that the hairdresser your Mom used had not stayed current with the styles and times. My own hairdresser stays current and goes to one day classes several times a year. Not only for the cutting styles, but also for new products to use on the hair. Your Mom should have had a little disgruntled chat with this lady just as soon as she saw what direction the woman had taken.

Yes it’s in the colour processing. Flowers look brown, all the gowns looked aubergine and whites had a pink hue. Nonetheless a very entertaining movie.
The poodle is so adorable 😍
My 1963 flip hairstyle prompted the boys who sat in the seat behind me in my classes, to see how many #2 pencils they could stack in the flipped up curl, without the curl giving way to the weight. That was their way of flirting. Lol😅

@@billgreen1861 Yeah, Edie Adams and Debbie Reynolds both got bad deals. At least Edie loved Ernie and was loved in return. To say Ernie Kovacs' personal life and finances were a mess is an understatement. Edie Adams is the best thing that ever happened to him.

Realizing this film has been colorized, I can see why it feels so much like a film from the 60s. At least that's part of the reason. Interesting film, and thanks for the upload!

Dear Cult Cinema Classics, please forgive me for being ignorant, but I have never heard of this film till now, despite the fact that it starred that superlative dancer, Cyd Charisse. The colorization passes muster. This could have been achieved because the quality of the film must have been pristine. During colorization, a few glitches may have occurred which is why there are green hues, now and then, that appear on the characters faces. Other than this minor setback, the colorization, is otherwise perfect. Would it be possible for Cult Cinema Classics to colorize the 1962 film noir "Night of Evil" starring Lisa Gaye and William Campell. I will be forever grateful if the answer is in the affirmative.

I think MGM had to make films 🎥 in the UK because of the balance of payments from WWII loans or something. The UK government forced US companies to reinvest their UK profits in England

From 1939 on it was illegal to take money out of England. American film studios accumulated large bank balances from royalties and exhibitors' fees for showing their films in British theaters. After the war they got the idea of spending the money in England to make movies. They would hire an English studio, actors, director, etc. They would send one or two stars over from Hollywood so they would have familiar names to put up on the theater and on advertising posters. They could export the films and show them in America and get their money that way. Thanks to the devaluation of the pound everything was very cheap in England compared to the US.

I wonder why they still made b&w films in 1951?? I mean, I know it was more expensive to do color, but this production was already invested in fairly big $tars...
