Jim, do you use any 55gal barrels in any of your gardens? Not for rainwater, but as a planter. I am trying to decide and I love your videos, love your advice. Thx.

Hi Shawna - we never have tried that but it would certainly work. It might be a lot more soil to use, but you could probably block off some of the bottom. And thanks for the compliment on the site! Jim
I have some leftover pressure treated wood that I cannot use to make a raised garden, however, do you think it would be safe to build this method with the buckets inside? Would the toxins be far enough away from the plants or should I just use untreated wood?

Hi Andreas, you would be more than okay to use that since the soil won't come in direct contact.
