@PatmosIV You're welcome ! Maybe, because the tax system doesn't seem to be the main source of income. In the latest, it looks like there's a balance between tax and trade incomes

The older game (2+ years ago) was much easier and way more fun. I'd pay for an older version if it were available.

I get your point. I remember the game well from a couple years ago. It was easier and sometimes more fun. I do like some of the new things they implemented, but not all. It did get more complicated. I hope they focus their development a bit on just one or 2 features and make them really good!
