The Cagiva Mito 7 speed has most definitely better acceleration and higher top speed. When I was sixteen, I used to own a Mito and some other kids in my school had the Aprilia. As you can imagine we raced a lot after school. The Mito always got the lead apart from the moments where I fucked something up lol. Love both bikes. Now I am driving a Honda CB 500FOUR but I must say that I really miss the sound and feeling of the two stroke madness. Just a crazy fun, beautiful and fucking insanely unsafe bike for kids. Ps. Yes, there was no throttle built-in. Not in the Mito nor in the Rs

I had an Aprilia RS125, when I was 17 and always wanted a MITO 7 SPD because they looked like a Ducati. Loved my Aprilia though.

You must use GPS for an accurate speed. Every bike manufacturer has different settings on their speedometer therefore it will give you incorrect readings. Overall in my experience, a tuned mito is the fastest out of all.. That's my opinion

@@FransJooseppi With a 154 kit it's not a 125 any more. It's hard to get near 40hp from 125cc and pump fuel. RG125 with o ring head conversion & 1.2mm base gasket 38hp, most I ever managed in 30 years of messing about with 125cc sports bikes.

Aprillia RS 125 achieved 173 because of downhill road conditions... I personally think cagiva mito & Nsr are the real winner in this video cause achieved 170 on a levelled road!

In this video maybe. I've owned most of these bikes, and my experience is that you couldn't choose between the RS and the Mk2 Mito, they're both as fast as each other and definitely quicker than the NSR. Mk1 Mito was faster.

These might be the fastest street legal 2 stroke 125s but Honda has made a racing bike called the RS125R, it weighs only 70kg and it has 46hp. It has reached a top speed of 230km/h. There are also other bikes made for the same racing category by other companies but none of them beat the top speed of the RS125R.

Not quiet. I went from a cagiva mito to a kawasaki gpx 250. It bored the tits of me was slow and lethargic. Got rid after 2 weeks then got me a vfr 400 that was more like it most fun bike I ever owned.

That would be the same bike that I would have if I got rid of my aprilia rs 125 , they are an excellent bike 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏽 Light & they sound amazing with a good pipe, and lose one tooth from the front sprocket and gaining 2 at the back , friend had one 👍🏽

The fact is that the second last bike has 7 speed gearbox what a legendary bike

my cagiva mito 183km / h my friend's aprilia rs 125 173 km / h with a sports filter and exhaust and my cagiva is a full series so the fastest 125 is cagiva mito 100%

You are aware that the derbi gpr / gilera SC 125 use a slightly tuned version of the Yamaha DT 125 engine and if you derestrict the bike, it can get about 30hp 😂 no way he's hitting 165km/h with 15hp you'd need like a 0.1 drag coefficient and it'd take you 7 years

Derbi gpr has same exact engine as yamaha dt. There are just different top ends, some tzrs use 2rh top end which is slightly more powerful than 3mb. Then there is also aluminium 3fu cylinder which you can find from some tzr rr models. But derbi and gilera has same engine with newer generation dt:s. And fullpower 3mb engine can reach up to 24whp and 26 from engine. Completely tuned 3mb:s can reach up to 30whp but it is literally close to maximum for that bottom end, because it has too low crancase volume. If you bore your crankcase you can reach much more, like 35whp or so but it needs alot of work

My old Mito used to do 190 kph down hill sat on the limiter in 6th.

My tzr was the first bike I broke a ton on it was slightly tuned

The original Cagiva Mito was the best 125 ever made End of

My.old ns125r did over 108mph with a gianelli exhaust and new reeds, with big bore kit would see 115mph...

Mk1 cagiva Mitos(7 speed) were a 115mph bike shame you got the mk2 in this video as they were rubbish in comparison and also 6 speed

Mk1 and mk2 Mito are basically the same. Only small details like the fork are different. Both round headlights. On this video we can see an evo sevenspeed. Wich has nearly the same enige as the Mk1 and Mk2

Had a friend that claimed 120 mph from a mito , and me being a little bit lighter could only manage 110 mph And racing with my aprilia we were neck and neck until the 100 mph , my aprilia was 105 mph screaming in 6th tucked in 😋 Mito dose not have it to achieve 120 mph Upload a video of the gps both ways on the same road and then I'll believe it😏

Mk1/2 mitos were all 7 speed, the evo2 has the 6 speed box, last of the great mitos was the 1997 lucky explorer sp very rare now, they had the 7 speed box too

Owned most of these bikes,, the fastest is the cagiva mito mk2 lawson 7 speed, followed by the prosport af1 Aprilia, shame no Gilera crono, or sp01-02 these were fast bikes as well

I tuned a suzuki gp 100 to do 159kmh lol blew it up several times but it was fun ! Destroyed 250 4strokes. Also had an NSR 125 RK derestricted that was pretty quick about 180kmh.

I have a cagiva elefant re 125 +-28kw but the max speed is about 140km / h bc it have only 6 gears

Yeah it definitely has more than 15hp. But 15hp and 165km/h is definitely NOT impossible. When you only have 15hp then weight is really important, so if it’s light enough it could definitely do 165km/h with only 15hp, but not in this case. Aerodynamics and as little drag as possible is also a big factor, so a naked bike with 15hp that’s lightweight probably couldn’t do 165km/h.

ok wait a minute 1 of all just accepte that rs 125 is the fastest one because it is 2 the guy here put the rs with the rev limiter and he didn’t put the Futura rs 125 witch is the fastest 125 so just accept tha rs is the king

The second one isn’t a 125 cc. It’s actually a 80 cc moped.

Dude I'm not sure u got your fact/stats right ?? The aprilia rs125 factory full power is 28hp (34hp is achievable with modifications). Where as a standard full power Rg125f for example is 33hp and i know this coz i own 1 and I'm pretty sure it would smoke a RS125 on a straight road. Just saying😂. Everyone forgets how fast those RG's were. F**kin nuked a 300 ninja the other day.... he didn't see that coming😂.

RG125 with the O ring conversion on the heads gives about 38hp, faster than a well tuned RS or Mk 1 Mito. I've had 3 of 'em!

The Tzr should be nr 1, it can do 160km/h and also go 60000 km without any repair or need to change the piston. Simply the best. And the Nsr can’t go 170km/h without any modification

Where is Suzuki RG125F and RG125UN? Should have been somewhere between the NSR and the Mito. I've owned Mito, RG125F, RG125UN (unfaired version), NSR125, and RS125. RS125 was fastest standard but RG125 was nicest ride, and if you take the "Alan's mods" from the RGV250 and apply it to the RG125 it's faster than the RS.

Not sure about the 1995…..but my 1996 had 33bhp and laughed at TZR’s. Maybe the one you are thinking of was running in 12bhp learner mode not full power 33bhp?

Its the two stroke version in the video. It was superseded by a four stroke 2010. There’s no way a 15hp four stroke does 165. More like 130:ish at best.

@@gtamaruf5410 I meant that in a fun way. That was a very great compilation. I once also had a Mito 125 and an RS 125 and they both really are great bikes. The aprilia somehow felt more "stable" (I just trusted her more as the suspension felt more trustable) and the engine power felt more "linear" as well. This is where and why I loved the mito more than the RS. The Mito felt a bit more extreme for me because my RS125 had a bit of an acceleration like around 6-7000 and then again at 10000 rpm but then the mito only had one part but then it opened like all she could at once and this (at least for me) felt a bit more extreme and faster which is why I prefered the Mito over the RS.
