One of the things I've learned after publishing about a dozen books on KDP for a year - don't mess up the title and subtitle. Get the keyword in the title, and secondary keywords into the subtitle, even if the subtitle is a bit long and awkward. Don't mess this rule up or you're just doomed from the start.

But aren’t we supposed to put the actual book title? I’ve published several books and I’m not having great success. It’s very frustrating because I’m trying to do lots of good keywords and A+ content, but they’re still not seen.

@@karenduey9675 and then add in the fact that Amazon has now taken away the 10-category allowance, lowering it to only three. My writing groups on Facebook are in an uproar. The minute I learn one thing, something else comes along and everything changes. All of this is happening while my books still don't sell(Mystery, suspense, and thriller). It's hard and I definitely understand the pain of trying so hard only to not get results.

I don't understand why so many 'KZreadrs' claim that they are earning thousands of dollars with Amazon eBooks. I have three pseudonyms and at least 45 e-books (and paperbacks). I write in four languages (english, spanish, portuguese and French), and I make only $1200 a month. I'm not "rich" with Amazon. And I promote a lot, e even promote my books in my own websites, in my blogs, and in my Facebook groups (3k members each group). And I'm still not rich 🙂

Very elderly man, SS income only, yet I will DIY until I have the income for your course. Your were great, your energy is exactly there and you will continue to draw like to you. Very Best until I am back.

Glad I found this I didn't have a good sub title. Now I have a perfect one. I've just finished my 3rd book and had to go back and make subtitles for all of them. AI is magic for that ! One thing that is still evading me is the right categories for Kids books. Doesn't seem to be a category just for that.

Hey Sean, The first 30 days sales and ranking is bit tough one specially for low content books where customer wants to see the Look Inside Feature. I have published few planners and the Look Inside Feature almost took 10 to 14 working days to appear properly. (still some books have interior rendering issues). Even after running Ads,.. most of Planners couldn't transform into sales because people wants to see what is inside the book. How would you tackle such issu, when interior of your book is important for people to see before they buy?

I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I'm a passionate author who wrote and published a psychological thriller that I worked on for three years and I've sold one book so far. ONE. And that's after advertising and promoting like a crazy person. And the bad thing is, I need the money. I really need it. This isn't just a "side hustle" to me, I genuinely want this to work. In the case when I provide a book for free and a person writes a review on the site for it. They don't buy a book on Amazon. Does the service mark such a review as written without purchasing a copy specifically through their website? If not, why can't even those who haven't read my book be invited to write (or do that for writing a bad review in case of rivalry)? How to distinguish these people if, for example, they wrote identical good (bad) reviews?

I had this same question. It works with ebooks but not sure how it works with physical books. I have thought about sending vouchers to use to buy the book themselves but that may not be allowed by KDP as it could be considered paying for reviews.

If someone hasn't purchased my book and I ask them in Facebook groups to give a review, is it possible for them to do so without making a purchase? Will Amazon ban my account for this? Additionally, I have enrolled in KDP Select for free book promotions, and although four units of my books have been sold, I haven't received any reviews on them.

When you offer a copy of your book for a review, is that the eBook or paperback? Paperback would get expensive really fast.
