@ kentucky4494• ALTHOUGH the market isn't so stable, it isn't as bad as people think. With the right techniques & knowledge, one can easily make so much profit from the market in a day, go do your own research.... In all honesty, as a beginner who knows next to nothing, I am about +65% up just in a couple of months... I'm a retiree, and I am using these extra resources to help pay for odds and ends that I want.

Hi Katrina Otto, your profit margin is quite inspiring and stunning for a beginner; how come? what is your biggest holding, do you make use of spreadsheet? Thanks.

@ bertjames436• NO I don't. Spreadsheet has always seemed stressful, and of no relevance to me.. For my top holdings, I follow Kelly Marie Matwick's positions automatically in real-time, she's good.

.75% shouldn’t be considered a dividend stock. My two cents(which is more than MSFT dividend!)

@@will785you're losing more money to inflation. Less than a percent yield is terrible. You'd need millions of dollars in capital to able to live off the dividend income from that.

There's stock growth + dividend growth. You might take that in considersation
How can you know what they are buying weekly when their 13f fillings come out quarterly?
4 out of 5 presented companies are not really a dividend stocks, but a growth companies. BAC with almost 3% dividend yield is an exception.
so do i reinvest the dividend?

Interesting enough I own 4 of the 5. The exception is GM. Maybe I need to open my mind more.
I feel like Target is low key an excellent valued Dividend Stock right now that’s currently in a big boom. I’m trying to load up as much as I can while it’s so low
I bought a handful of BAC in October at around $27. Sold them earlier this year at around $34 because I felt it was getting overvalued and I wanted to simplify my holdings.
Everything just seems so overpriced right now. Waiting on the next big market dip before I restock my dividend portfolio.

LET’S GOOO!
Dividends are irrelevant on these. They are buying for price appreciation. Not going to buy stocks for 1% return when fixed rates are 5%. Makes no sense.

MSFT dividend growth is phenomenal. Makes it a good dividend stock in my opinion, but of course share price appreciation is huge as well.

If you are looking for income, yes. If you are looking for long term...10+ years...then it is fine in if the dividend growth rate is over 10%.

Do you think fixed rate is 5% for all of eternity or no? Maybe in 15 years these companies will be paying out higher dividends than interest rates. This is called investing. Not trading or arbitrage on a few points. See: Warren fucking Buffett
