Chef Mickey's is one of my favorite in all of Disney World. Yes, it is loud because it caters to families with small children. But, you know that going in so it's not a surprise, and I love to see the little ones having such a good time. Yes, the food is so-so. But it's exactly the kind of food I like the best. Homey and tasty and simple. That's why the kids like it so much. And they have characters. Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto wear chef outfits and are happy to pose with all the rowdy customers. I LOVE it there!

I was very impressed with the different foods that Disney served us while visiting for my husband’s manager conference. For breakfast and lunch we had the banquet buffet spread and each day was a different theme. Each night for dinner they took us to different kingdoms and put on a show. Dessert and cocktails were serve while we were visiting the parks. Of course dessert were innovative treats that they didn’t normally serve around the park. I’m hoping in 2026 that my husband will get invited again. You can’t beat a free stay at the yacht club and free entrance to Disney as a private guest. If you work at a global corporation that could afford a trip like this I highly recommend it.

Our family if 5 cannot afford to put over $350 for a meal that is mostly atmosphere and not the food. They actually CLEARED our table when I went to the restroom with my daughter, before we were even finished. Great for kids but as an adult it's just so overly planned (seeing each character and being checked off a list by a CM) to the point of awkwardness. Glad we went once, would never go again.

With the mentality of "I decided I don't like this food I've never tried" I'd definitely aim for something more toddler friendly.

I hated Boma. Sorry, not sorry. It was boring and not nearly enough African dishes. Expensive, basic, bad American buffet food.

While my 2 year old LOVED Chef Mickey, they use an additive in their foods that sent my dad to the ER in the middle of the night after eating dinner there. I'm not kidding one bit. Sort of ruined the end of our vacation. Yuck.

My mom had the same thing happen , but it was not a food additive. It was that she ate too much. Her full belly pushed on her heart which we did not know was weak.

@@scandisnowgirl3696 yeah it wasn't msg. But something like an additive like that. Disney denied it at first, it was a huge thing. My dad isn't allergic to anything at all, very healthy, but the ER said it was clearly a reaction. We've eaten at almost every WDW restaurant and it has never happened anywhere else!

I'm probably not gonna eat at Roundup Rodeo again anytime soon. For me it's cause I have a sensory disorder and it's overly loud and I don't really eat meat, however when I went in November I could still eat cause they had sides I could eat. But now they've gotten rid of all of the sides I eat so I'm probably not going back anytime soon unless my carnivore family drags me kicking and screaming.

All of Disneyland's food is pretty bad. I tell myself as I'm handing over my credit card to pay that I'm paying for the theme not the food lol! Bc I would be better going to El Pollo loco. I ate the turkey leg at dland on Saturday and had food poisoning since.
