Of course I worked with all of them because we are all human and flawed. I have probably even exhibited behavior of all of them from time to time. I try not to but I am human too. The difference is that I tend to focus on getting my work done well and not on ladder climbing. Ladder climbing has a tendency to get you to the top where you are the most likely to fall off when they shake the ladder. All this garbage started to happen at work when top management stopped looking at performance and good character and started to accept those who played the game of work well. Lets face it I am just tired of having to go to work because its just not the best way to earn a living but I am too old to start over. I still want more money and flexibility to do what I want when I am working but ...

I feel like I’m traumatized from the last job that I had. A person that I worked with that was on the same level as I was quit, I left a couple of years later…it took us years to get over the trauma of that place, we spoke to each other about it until we started to gradually get better. I'm very introverted and didn't want to interact with my colleagues, due to my fragile mental health. As a result, I have been branded as odd, weird, antisocial and have even been called brusque or rude. All I wanted to do was do my work and FO home. I can identify with all of the personalities described, having being the brunt of their nefarious activities, having being subjected to the silent treatment and other mind games, I now work entirely on my own from home. No more workplace politics or gaslighting.

Me too! Ive been branded so many names. I just laugh at it now. As introverts, we’re quite powerful. We are excellent at reading people and seeing right through them. We dont react, we think. Were smart in all senses and wise. We pick our friends carefully. We dont need an audience, we are very secure and content to work on our own. With all this being said, is it any wonder that in a world full of insecure extroverts that we get attacked by these people? Nope. These toxic people are so consumed by jealousy that they dont even know this is why they dislike the introverts. I also now work 99% from home. Pure bliss and im loving it. I no longer have to entertain these ppl and give them they attention they crave.

Just got fired thanks to a Rachel who made up a bunch of stuff about me/made false reports. Sucks because I cried to her about how people were treating me at work. Turns out she was banding together with other coworkers to push me out of the company just because I didn’t fit in and didn’t want to sit around gossiping with them over lunch, etc.

I left this comment on another video and will share here so u know ur not alone: I got fired one time for not "fitting in". All because the "head bitch" ( the girl who had been there the longest, knew everything, and even used a coffee cup that said "queen bee" on it) didn't like me. Bad thing is she was suuuuper nice to me for like the first week or two and we laughed and everything was great. She flipped and did a 180 om me out of the blue and literally started making up stuff that I never said or did and I was attacked by her, the boss and another coworker (attacked meaning confronted randomly about these things I did not do). After about a month working there the boss took me aside and in an overly sweet and fake voice told me I just didn't fit in. I told her what a bitch that other girl was and they could have the shit show, I didn't want a part in it lol

same I got fired once a month after I was hired by a woman who seemed to be all over the boss. I couldnt care less though. She told him I wasnt doing any work but there was no work! I was let to research and list things I find and id complete the task within 2/3 hours. I dont fit in with most companies and just got hired after going back to college ( not easy I cant find a much better job as there arent many jobs) I also intend to continue my studies. I realise I dont fit it because most have low IQ in some type of jobs and it motivates me to continue my studies. I am about to be fired but I did nothing really . I dont care as so far im getting paid and I have to wait. They thought I d fit in but I dont. I dont drink and they sure all do. I just dont want to work again I think. If I had money , I d have remained in the university full time and even. do a phd . Its totally ridiculous in fact to work and the people you are surrounded with are really the bottom of society. Thats the reality and there are videos about it from a PTPOP , he talked about call centers but any customer service job is similar and they are the easiest to get but a lot of other jobs have fancy titles and are more or less a customer service job. I dont even want to be around most of these people. Thank god fr the covid/remote working .

Ahhhh, when Rachel and Patty co-exist in the same office you will eventually see a day of reckoning and surprisingly, Rachel will win because she is very skilled at playing both sides. She will completely expose Patty for the manipulative liar that she is. While it may be a relief to be rid of Patty, you will eventually learn that Rachel is just as manipulative. Deal with her kindly and politely, but don’t ever trust her. Anything you say, no matter how innocent will get twisted if she sees you as the competition.

I keep dirt on my fellow coworkers in case I need it. I've been screwed out of a job too many times. I learned the hard way how to play office politics. One co-worker tried to get me fired. Not only was able to defend myself, I read off a whole laundry list of stuff on her. They let her go that afternoon. I almost got my manager fired once, but she quit when she realized that I was on to her. I found out later that she was actually doing a worse job than I discovered she was.

I have met Every (men and women), you are right, they are extremely insecure. Even though they are the boss, they also feel insecure when their subordinates are in the spot lights. They even got jealous with the receptionist who seems to be brighter, bubbly pleasant and loved by everyone. There is no way that the receptionist can challenge their power or take their job but hey, insecure people are always toxic and extremely competitive regardless of what position they are in. How’s sad .

She was overly ambitious and viewed me as a threat - to the point where she intentionally held back my career by the methods you mentioned. I endured it for 12 years and finally got out at the end of August. It did a number on my mental/emotional health and my confidence was at rock bottom. It's taken me some time, but I'm healing. I don't have a new job yet, I've started training in a new career and have achieved more in two months than I did in 12 years. I'm happy that the company I work for has no toxic people, because they're seen out. I think it's important to keep toxic people out and to be able to make friends at work because that makes team work better and more efficient. Before COVID I had a lot of fun staying up late at the office working with my friends as we solved problems together, and I also admire them because they're hella smart. I was told once about this guy who worked there before I was hired who was incredibly rude to workers, he yelled at someone for not being able to complete a nearly impossible deadline he had given and the toxic guy got fired the day after. The only time I had to deal with a toxic person in the company was a girl who, I have no idea under which type she falls into according to this video, but when she joined I started having problems with my co-workers whom I had gotten along with all the time. We would argue a little, they'd have a bad attitude towards me, etc. This girl even said on more than one occasion that she learnt to be a bully or else she would be the one to get bullied. Anyway once she was gone, everything went back to normal. It was really weird.

I just resigned a Toxic workplace after 8 months of daily walking through a Negativity Vortex. After I immediately resigned, I felt an 800 pound weight leave my psyche. I’m going to take this one-day as a pity party and move on starting tomorrow. I can do NOTHING about yesterday. Yes. Those people. Worked everyday with a psychopath. I’m not a doctor and I can’t diagnose, but THAT guy was a non-emotional user that had to torment me for his own gratification. So much NEGATIVE ENERGY, but constantly told me he was a Good Religious Person. Good People show Good Fruit. His “fruit” was rotten. My Boss was WEAK. He didn’t stop any of it and even participated in it everyday. It was Open-Season on me. I was super productive and customers called ME. My co-workers hated my success, so they daily tried to tear me down emotionally. They even called me Fat in front of customers. Whatever it took to kill me emotionally and ruin my sales. When I started out producing one of the salesmen, he got in my face and warned me there would be consequences if I “outsold” him. He proceeded to show me his Glock 40 and wave it around in my face. That made me even more determined to beat his ass in sales. Guns don’t scare me, as I keep mine hidden and legally out of the workplace. But, that was a decisive moment when I decided to ignore him and keep my distance. Tomorrow is a NEW DAY. I’m glad that I got to learn exactly what a Toxic Environment is and I can now more easily recognize it earlier on. Thanks to you ! I made the decision to leave. :)

I guess it takes many different personalities to run a company. The key is to learn how to manage these people and use them to your advantage. I try to do just that, staying as neutral as possible. I've been called a "silent player" at work, due to that. However, I have no problem addressing bad behavior directed towards me. The Adult Voice, lowering my glasses and looking over them at the offender with heavy eye contact work well for me. I guess that's the former military officer coming out in me. LOL

I just couldn't take it so I left the company (its just a part time contract job) apparently after I left, she told everybody I chouldn't do the job that's why I left. Second person is a Rachel .... who was an ex-college mate who worked with me for many years. I helped her alot and paid her alot during her difficult times, but when I was in difficulty she didn't offer the same level of help that I gave her in the past as if she's hoarding all the work. I'm just not good with all this socializing and working with other people, now I work alone at home doing my own thing.

I had the pleasure of working with an Avery before. As someone usually more on the understatement side of things that experience taught me that modesty may be a virtue, but it really doesn't pay. I didn't find out until way later that the Avery's constant (and often obviously untrue, e.g. when claiming significant participation in translation work in a language they didn't even speak) overstatement and my general understatement lead our superiors to believe Avery was way more competent then me. It was a brutal lesson, but I'm glad to have learned it early.

I hate dealing with Nicks. At my last job, I had to deal with two who became very passive aggressive due to having both asked me out on different occasions and my having rejected them. It was a drain as I couldn’t do anything without them hovering, trying to make awkward eye contact and look for any excuse to be 1 foot or less in my immediate space. It was so exhausting to avoid reacting as it was everyday every hour every second, I’m not even exaggerating. I became their whole mission. Interacting with them was awkward due to them leering and making it obvious they were not looking nor treating me like a professional. The worst part was, they would feign to be the victims when in reality they were trying everything in their power to be near me. I eventually experienced this at many jobs and it forced me to look to isolated or work from home jobs as the onslaught of harassment I kept getting from male colleagues was affecting my welfare. At first I thought I was maybe projecting something wrong but it’s often like walking on eggshells with these people. If I’m kind they become worse and don’t ever leave me alone and if I’m professionally cordial I’m a “b!tch”. Do you have any advice for this particular situation? Please. Because it’s distressing and the only time it doesn’t happen is when I’m working with an all woman staff which is rare.

It's both infuriating and disgusting that you are experiencing this, and that womxn continue to. deal with. Honestly, it's why I was stoked to age, it happens waaaaay less. Remember for them this is about power, and the only way they get your power is if you give it to them. First thing I would personally do (and have done) in your shoes: active a stealth job search and have a Plan B lining up and consult a lawyer. Next... figure out what feel right for you. Is it a quiet exit to a better workplace, is it filing a complaint (which I'm an advocate for but also not gonna pretend it doesn't bear risk for the person who puts the complaint in at certain companies), is it doing both. What I think you already know is you can't thrive in that environment and something has to be done. I know a lot of women fail to make complaints because they're afraid they'll be known as the person who files sexual harassment complaints - but like then you don't have to worry about a company that tolerates that shit hiring you, ya know? But I say that as a person who financially could withstand an extended employment gap so please take that for what it's worth.

@@JenniferBrick Filing complains only turns the HR against me and they proceed to gossip about me with fervor. Saying that I’m making work difficult as apparently work isn’t work unless they interact with me (I have literally been told this on more than one occasion). In most places colleagues get away with it and I often think it’s because I’m a minority visually speaking. I had quit working the job with the two Nicks when a female colleague reached back to me and told she it finally dawned on her what I was dealing with and she described it all as a “pack of vultures after live prey”. Most of the time HR gets nervous and try to bounce the issue to me, ad if it’s my fault. This led to a bout of anxiety and depression as it really took a toll on my confidence and led me to try to gain weight and even dress to obscure myself as it really was that bad. Right now I’m working at a job with much less pay and trying to see if I can come up with something to work for myself as the problem hasn’t quelled as I get older but I can’t allow this to damn my quality of life and income either. I have become afraid of working with men unless they’re gay. The sad part is, I’ve also had managers outright tell me that’s just men being men what reaction do I expect? Many even encourage it in “good faith” for the men thinking I really went in there to be a potential conquest. It’s put me in a weird bind career wise as eventually men do become a problem no matter how isolated the job. Sigh. Thank you for your advice. I will try to reassess how I can work with the hand I’m dealing with as it’s a tough one. I cannot afford a lawyer at the moment and I’m too distraught and lost to do anything besides try and try again but I’m exhausted and age cannot come fast enough.

I feel you so much on there being not a lot of good options. But the way they win is if you duck out. And you deserve to do the job you love (without their BS) and get paid top dollar for it. The trauma from what you experienced and what was permitted is going to amplify any sightly off existence you have going forward. Are you in LinkedIn? If you are and we're connected can you send me a DM? If we aren't add me with a note (reference your username here).

Im so grossed out from this companies dynamics that last period was throwing up of disgust to then end up leaving it behind, very much relate to this work experience from my last recent job, truth is I swim backwards on my own lane staying authentic to myself and absolutely not feeding any gossip, no wonder ended up being cut out

Many of them need that jacket that makes you hug yourself. I notice this channel was in my feed after talking to a difficult co worker on the phone. Makes me womder if they watched this channel. I sure hope so and they recognize their behavior 😂
