IMO, the polycarbonate scales look so much better than ultem.

Polycarbonate has the advantage of color options. It’s durable enough but, in the hand it doesn’t feel as nice. In terms of quality, durability, and overall feel, Ultem is hands down better. There is a process that can make Ultem a lot more clear, some high-end vape makers utilize it.

I’m excited about the new polycarbonate scales. The ultem scales look awesome but I don’t like the Flu Phlegm color. Transparent purple or a vivid green would be incredible to me!

Seeing that translucent handled knife made me go look for my translucent Rollock. That Valhalla makes the SOG Recon 1 I edc look small!

Not necessarily impractical. I immediately saw where it would be an excellent detail knife for leather working. Also a great backup blade for processing small game.

What I like about kizer/Paul munko is that they are very interested in making a work of art.

LOL, the Valhalla is an engineering exercise and, as such, is pretty cool. Considering you'd have to carry the Valhalla in a belt pouch, IMO you'd be better served by a fixed blade.

I collect knives but I have to admit I love the fantasy knives I have a huge collection of Gil Hibbon fantasy knives. And I collect straight razors and Italian Stilettos also but wanting to expand my collection. I haven't heard of the Rex45 steel could you or anyone please tell me more about this steel? I got to say I really loved the Midgards Messer Valhalla because it's unique and the cool opening mechanism! Beautiful knives here!

Regarding the large Midgards Messer: I'm not sure those thin, screwed-on pieces of bent metal used to prevent closing can be described as "overbuilt."

Ultem is a premium material. Obviously not on the level of Titanium, MokuTi, Damascus, Zirconium, etc. but, definitely a great material nonetheless. True ultem and delrin typically demand higher costs. There’s a lot of fake ultem out there believe it or not.

i don't even understand how that valhalla would fit in my pocket...

Sorry kizer but it doesn't matter what steel you use if it's not heat treated correctly. I have kizer 10v that is so soft it might as well be surgical stainless. Absolutely garbage & giving steels bad names!
