I did so many living histories at the Carter house in the 90s, I was in the 45th Alabama infantry Regiment Company B dixie sledge guards, this place courses through my veins at all times! It’s so awesome to see the ground that has been reclaimed! Lots of happy tears watching this video, I currently reside in Orlando Florida and haven’t seen that place in 12 years, See in November 😎

Its funny that Cleburne name is used so much in the southern names! My family came from Tennessee and my middle name was spelled Claibourne!

Actually he was suspected of being a northern sympathizer due to being opposed to slavery and had thick family ties in Baltimore.

I read about the Battle of Franklin in my youth, and I visited the SC State Museum while I was stationed at Fort Jackson in the Army. I immediately recognized the portrait of States Rights Gist among the Civil War artifacts. The dreadful series of events at the Battle of Franklin capture the attention of anyone who hears about them, regardless of interest in history.
