Same here. Everybody knows Baseball is the American pastime and Football (not Futbol) has an unofficial holiday. Having Hockey in the father’s mind correlates with how the father made a core memory of the hockey goal, how Riley grew up playing the sport, and why he went all in for her new team (and assuredly all the old ones).

You could tell this channel is based in another country. It makes WAY more sense that they designed the hockey scene for the main movie(because it makes sense being from MN and Hockey is nowhere near as popular than soccer in the US) and the other countries had it changed because they don't know hockey

I have loved broccoli all my live and it's one of my favourite veggies overall next to green beans and carrots. There's way worse (going by a kids palate) than broccoli...like brussels sprouts or sauerkraut or red cabbage (tho that might just be the way germans make it sort of sweet sour and with enough wine you can still taste it in the finished product) ...

Actually, it was made as a hockey scene, and then changed for movie releases outside of North America, where hockey is either irrelevant, or pretty much unknown.

It actually makes sense because Disney and Pixar are extremely popular, and have the most exposure all over the world. There are a lot of movie companies like Paramount that don't get as much exposure, and in some countries their movies are legally banned from being played in that country due to certain themes that they may have. Disney and Pixar have locations all over the world and their popularity and universal themes allow them to send products to countries that others can't. Because of this, they'd want to make sure that their movies had relate-able references to appeal to that areas audience, which is why they go through the most changes when outside of the United States.

I remember in the USA version he was speaking with the yellow corvette and another car. However in the Latin American version, the corvette was now a race car with the colors of Mexico.

I think it's when they put headphones at human ear level when their actual ears are above or below that, so realistically they wouldn't be able to hear what they're listening to. it actually happens a lot in cartoons with non human characters.

while that is true, hockey is actually our national sport too! Lacrosse was our first national sport but not to long ago (1994 i think) Hockey was declared as one too! We are one of the only countries who has two official national sports :)

I like to wear a elaborate Jar Jar Binks costume and mask as part of my every day life. I went to the grocery store, and saw how depressed everyone was so I thought I would help. I started dancing in the aisles, and yelling at people, and running up to people and taking things out of their cart. It was great fun. Then when I went to check out, there was only one lane open and a long line. I screamed and screamed while in line and danced, bumping into other people. I opened a box of baking soda and threw it around. Finally I got to the checkout. I started making noises at the cashier, and I kept pressing buttons on the computer. Some people in line were groaning because the line was getting very long, but that gave me even more incentive to make them laugh. I climbed onto the table and started kicking peoples groceries on the floor and singing. The manager and one of his goons pulled me off and said I could never shop there again. Can I sue for harassment or possibly assault?

Yes so it was weird to change it to football/soccer for the european audience. Because its not like people in Europe do not know what hockey is. And even if they did not before know what it was it was really well established in the movie.
