There is NO way you are going off-and-away with development without knowledge of coding and building/modeling. UNLESS you got money to hire somebody. "How do i weave a t-shirt without knowing how to weave?" You either learn, or you buy one.

Good question. Start with taking commissions, promote yourself on X. Learn from my other videos on them (which have earned others tens of thousands of robux.) For 80/20 rule, then take the building you’re learning. ONLY learn the 20% of things out there (like low poly, blender, or realistic) which will get you the 80% of the results. and cut everything else. only learn what you need to get the results you want (earnings, etc). then, only take the 20% of commissions that get you the 80% pay. Charge a LOT. Keep that value in place. don’t budge for anyone. Most devs mess this up and spend hours and hours and days and days on small comms. charge high, 80/20 rule thru and thru. good luck, keep me updated how this plan goes for you.

See the latest stream. Watch content on these topics on YT, Myron golden & Alex hormozi are great. Books on it. And best of all, practice It does take some work to understand how to apply these to Roblox though, be prepared to search for info and get creative!

80/20 rule isn't very applicable to games/film because they do need a lot of small and seemingly unnecessary things to result in a good game. You can't make money without a good product lol, and it's misleading to tell people to only care about things that directly lead to money. It's kinda ironic how frontlines was in the background, and the weapons/maps are full-pbr with bakes and materials (containing microdetails that are never seen) developing a game with a mind entirely focused on "how is x going to make money" is really misleading LOL

No one said that you should only make a game to make money. You can make a game for any reason you want. 80/20 rule is 100% true here. Devs get too caught up in things they don't need. ​@@SmartyRBX so if you were making an fps game, how would you approach the amount of effort/money for producing assets? you could either spend less money/less time, or more money/more time. You're saying "dont do stuff that isn't necessary," thus inferring that more time spent on asset quality isn't necessary (and therefore shouldn't be pursued). Having business meta skills is only valuable secondary to a production resulting from technical skills, not the other way around. The 80/20 rule makes sense when developing a business, but not when developing a game, which is more closely tied to being an art form.

You're right, don't detriment on quality. But one thing you're missing here is constant iteration. When you release a project, you will need to start simple and then constantly iterate and improve. Everyone knows this about software development. Release an MVP and iterate on it. Now, when you release an MVP, you need a way to prioritize what will go in that MVP. 80/20 is always a good rule to find out what to prioritize when you make a project. It's most commonly discussed in productivity circles (Think: Ali Abdaal), which means it applies perfectly to any kind of work, including business as well as art. You're right the fact that you should be careful in how you use it. I am not implying you should decrease your quality, but rather that you should prioritize certain elements of your game over others. Don't add unnecessary systems into your game right off the bat, for example. If you're making a shooter you would prioritize the gun systems, etc, over the other systems in the game. An example is adding more game modes. The game could be fun and playable without them, and you can add new game modes later after release, instead of putting them into the game immediately.
