Woah, I've never heard of Let My People Go Surfing but I definitely want to read it now! Personally, Brene Brown's book "Daring Greatly" helped me so much, it tackles the issue of shame and helped me care less what random people thought of me to focus on the voices in my life that are most important. And - on the sustainability front - Robin Wall Kimmerer's book Braiding Sweetgrass gave me a different way of understanding human relationships with nature, which offers a better framework for how to act in any situation.
