    Another great video !!! - I already like the Rousseau Gambit (against Italian game) and the Schlieman Gambit (against the Spanish game) - I will study the Charlick Gambit Fot the momement against d4 I prefer to start by Nf6 - if BF4 (London system) --> c5 - if c4 (queens gambit) --> e4 to go to the Budapest Defense of the even more tricky Farajowicz gambit - if another move --> I can choose between g6 (for the solid Indian's game) or d6 and c6 (also solid but a bit more tricky Pirc Czech defense)

    I will practice hard. Having an amateur tournament this Sunday after many years of not playing. And know black opening is always great, since statistically you’re at lower advantage from get go while white has the opening advantage. And beginninger always like the feeling of starting and if you are master of black openings, you can do a “nice” gesture of letting them start with white. lol.

    Sir , in 2. Rousseau gambit , after attacking the knight by e4 pawn obviously white has to move his knight at its starting position . After that d5 is right but what happens if white plays d3 and offers a pawn exchange which is good because that black pawn is too much dangerous .

    4. Traxler counterattack @ 3:45 I think white's queen to E1 favors white with queens canceling out. Could potentially leave black down a rook with white bishop still in attack mode

  • @eclecticexplorer7828
    @eclecticexplorer78285 ай бұрын

    At first, I couldn't see how the Traxler Gambit has such a high win rate. Even if white does grab the bishop on f2, black can respond to Nxe4 with Ke3 (an easy move to find), then Qh5 is met with g6. As I explored it, I see that there are other potential traps for white to fall into along this line, though. Black's biggest problem comes if white knows to capture f7 with the bishop rather than the knight. After that, black will have a harder time. The Englund Gambit seems more likely from white playing "logical" moves, but when the knight is offered and Smirnov says, "In most cases, white does capture, ...," that isn't quite true. It is the most common move, but still only 32% of the time. 2/3 of the time, white will choose another move that is much more favorable for white. I can definitely see it working for players that are only a few hundred rating points, but I would be nervous to play this against a player 1000+, perhaps even 800+. Also, it is important to note that if white plays 3. Nc3 instead of Nf3, you can't go ahead with the gambit because the white queen is protected by the knight on c3. The Charlick Gambit looks much more appealing to me, largely because it isn't dependent upon white falling into traps, but I will have to figure out how best to deal with white's Nb5, threatening to trade his knight for the dark square bishop and isolating black's center pawn. The Rousseau is one I have been prepping for already. The edge is still to white if he knows the right moves, but black still can have a decent position against the best play. I haven't seen the Ponziani-Steinitz before. It looks interesting. I will look into it.

    With englund gambit I like to play 2.dxe5, Nf6, 3.Nc3 Qe7 4.Bc4 Qg4+. Getting really tricky for white. I'm 1000 and 7 out of 10 my opponent just plays 5. c3 blocking with the pawn, but then Qxc4 picks up the bishop.
