Lancôme is always a brand I come back to! I use their primer, monsieur big for volume, and finish with Definicils for extra length. I also use the Idole and like it too. Thanks for the comparisons

I’m a sucker for mascaras but became really picky once I discovered truly good formulas that glide on. Lash Idole has became my go-to formula for length & natural looking lashes since it came out. Urban Decay’s Perversion has been my favorite for volume so I cannot wait to try the new Monsieur Big to compare!! Thanks for the real & candid review! 🙌🏼

I have natural curl on my lashes but that’s it ha - I preference hourglass wands and no fibers formulas so the maybelline falsies lash lift is amazing and I like the cover exhibitist. Hi Lisa! My top two favorites currently are the Sky High mascara and the Lash Idole. Love them both. I have a trial size of the Monsieur Big Lash that I received with an order, I need to try that one!

The hourglass tubing mascara in the gold tube is AMAZING. Stays all day with no flaking especially when I use a lash primer with it.

Wonderful video 📸, I really enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing the fact that more voluminous mascaras have to be replaced more often. I thought it was me. I make sure to tightly close each mascara to make sure it does not dry out. I have hooded eyes & the bigger wands are challenging for me. I will stick with Lashfood primer, Lancôme Idole Mascara, Ilia Limitless Mascara & for date night Lancôme Monsieur Mascara. Thank you 😊. Cheers 😉🌷

You are beauty and elegance personified, Lisa. Thank you for this informative video. Saves us all a bunch of $$. I love the Idole and Sky High for my upper lashes and No. 7 ?360? (It’s in a gold tube) for my lower lashes because it’s a tubing mascara and doesn’t smudge on me. I have small eyes and a line right under my lashes, so until finding that, I was not wearing mascara on my lower lashes.

I also love lots and lots of volume! Your review on the bite beauty is perfect! I love the look it gives so I use it a lot but it makes a mess haha! But my two favorite mascaras are Bare Minerals Lashtopia and Ciate London triple shot mascara. It’s soooo good!! Lights Camera Lashes by tarte is good too!

I’m dealing with short/sparing eye lashes. Right now I’m using the Younique Twisted mascara and I actually went out and bought the Maybelline Sky High after your video on it. I love the Maybelline Sky High Mascara. The one thing with the Younique Twisted Mascara is it has two wands. One to lengthen and one for more volume. These are my two go to mascaras!! I love a volumizing mascara too! I have long lashes but want thickness only really. I like the Kosas too. You need to try the new RMS mascara and Lawless! I like the RMS- it flakes a tiny tiny bit by end of day though. I just got a duo on QVC of the Lawless one and can’t wait to try it, a lot of people are loving it! Fun video, thanks Lisa!!

KVD Go Big or Go Home mascara is amazing! It does get thick a bit quicker than my other mascaras, but I love the look. Added bonus, it does not flake or smudge in the hot SW Fl climate.

For background... I am in my mid 60’s. I have pretty good lashes for my age. Still full and decent length. Biggest change I’ve seen with my lashes is they are losing pigment. Starting to see white eyelashes coming in. The loss of pigment is also happening in my eyebrows. 🤪 I do not use a lash primer. I’ve been using the Benefit Magnetic mascara since the beginning of this month. For me, it works very very well. I really like it. I’ve tried the Lash Idol and it works well for me too. I’ve tried several of your recommendations and like the Lancôme Lash Idole but wish it came in a waterproof version. My lashes only stay curled with waterproof mascaras. Thanks for this video- it was a good one!

Will definitely try the Lancôme Big Monsieur mascara as I also have short, straight, light lashes. The IT Superhero Stretch mascara floats my boat as well as the by Terry Lash Expert twist mascara 🙏

This was so great! I may have to try the Benefit...I love the Ilia mascara and it gives length but not necessarily volume. Although I can get good volume with 2 coats. I actually have a lot of lashes (hardly any brows from 90’s plucking), and they’re long but blonde. Color and just a little bit of volume and length are what I go for. The wand sounds very similar to the Benefit. Thanks Lisa!👏👍

I like Lancôme , but I wear waterproof 3 days a week because I do a water class. Yes I do have makeup on in the pool. My lashes aren’t thick but since I am using a lash serum they are longer, but I love the new rephr eyelash curler! I have also found that the EL base really helps hold the curl. I am glad you have your real lashes now and they look great! Thanks 😊

I love Bite mascara but I definitely need to use lush separator/comb. With this tool the mascara looks amazing on my lashes.

My favorite is the Lawless One and Done mascara. It's amazing!

I also Love a volumizing mascara! If you haven’t tried the Covergirl volume mascara in the orange tube you need to! It is right up there if not better than the man eater mascara. Try it out 😀

Mascara is one of my very favorite items to try out! I have medium length lashes, not thin or thick I'd say. Some of my longtime favorites are Lancome Hypnose Drama, Marc Jacobs At Lashed (afraid this line possibly being discontinued), Hourglass Unlocked instant extensions, and Milk Kush waterproof.

For natural looking but slightly defining lashes my favourite is Urban Decay Perversion. I have been using it for a long time, doesn’t dry up. I will definitely try Lancôme ones next time I buy mascara.

I tried Idole and didn't care for it, since it didn't do much for my lashes. I think I will try Mosier Big again one day, because the first time I got it, it was a mess and I didn't like it either. However, it seems to be a favorite for many people so maybe I'll give it a chance. My favorites are Maneater, Lash Paradise, Lash Brag , Ilia, It Superhero and no7 360 ultra. 👌😁

I'm like you, Lisa. I need that VOLUME! At your recommendation in your earlier video, I tried the Lancôme Lash Idôle mascara, and I love that one. I also like thr Kush mascara by Bite (I think), the Ilia Limitless Lash mascara, and the Maybelline The Falsies Lashlift.

I love Maneater!! I have tried Lash idiole but it doesn’t give as much volume… which I desperately need! I like it with a lash primer. So, based on your recommendation for volume and length I’m going to give Monsier a try! Thanks!!

I haven’t tried the mascara’s in this video yet. I’ve been using L’Oréal Paris Mascara waterproof and it works great! No smudges or flaking. Thank you for the thorough, scientific review of mascara, it is very helpful!

Thanks Lisa, very informative! I'd like to know how they wear throughout the day. I find so many of them flake and smudge on me. I'm constantly having to check my eyes to ensure they're not a hot mess! LOL I've recently started using the L'Oreal primer and I think it's helping somewhat. I tried the Benefit tinted primer and it smudged worse then the mascara! 😁

I appreciate that you have listed some drugstore products. Good to replace mascara frequently for hygiene reasons, so affordable is good.

The sky high, I found to be very heavy. It’s hard to wash off too. I like the wand. I would love to try the VB. Estée Lauder multi effects is a fantastic product. I love it.

My favorite of all time is the Tom Ford Ultra length mascara. It is fabulous and it does not budge or flake and lasts a really long time. I have issues with mascaras running on me so this is important. I also love thrive causemetics and Trish mcevoy tubing mascaras

I love the Thrive Cosmetics tubing mascara-only one that doesn’t smudge or irritate my contact lenses ❤️👍🏼My lashes are short but not too sparse. However, being 58, some are gray😱😉

I love Mirenesse's mascaras because I strongly prefer tubing mascaras; otherwise mascara smudges on me really easily. It's a fantastic 'natural' looking mascara for everyday, when you want to enhance what you have (and I'm lucky to have pretty long, medium-fullness lashes). I've also tried the L'Oreal Voluminous X fiber mascara, which is much more dramatic, and less expensive; not as natural, but great for special events! It gives you the look of having filled in your waterline, without needing to--but I honestly don't know how it would look on someone with sparser lashes.Maybe great, but maybe not. It's a double ended, 2-step mascara but BOTH ends are black. Thanks for the video!

I love Ilmakiage icon mascara. I'm definitely gonna try that lancome idol, tate Maneater and loreal one.

Mr. Big is my favorite mascara.....i love it

I have long lashes but they're not as voluminous as they were when I was younger. Cover Girl makes a few mascaras that add volume & They're waterproof which I like. Plus Cover Girl does not test on animals which is important to me. Even being waterproof, when you're ready to remove it, it comes off fairly easy

I felt the same about the Maybelline one at first. As the mascara dried out a bit, it got much much better!

I love mascara and have 6-8 at any given time..my 2 favorites are Pat McGrath fetisheyes and Dior iconic over curl.

Right now, I'm loving Benefit lengthening mascara (pink/black tube. Doesn't provide much volume but great for length and separation. Still looking for a mascara that provides both, volume and length. Will try the Lancome mascaras. Ty!

I really enjoyed this video. I have tried 3 of the mascaras you talked about, Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High, Lancome Lash Idole, and Loreal Lash Paradise. My favorite is the Lancome Lash Idole but really like the Maybelline as well and the price point for me is so much better. I have thin lashes with okay length (thanks to a lash serum I use). My lashes seem to clump together very quickly if I use a mascara like Loreal Lash Paradise. I am going to try the Lancome Monsieu Big and see if it makes a big difference for me. Your necklace is beautiful. Thanks for your videos Lisa, I really enjoy watching them.

I love the Lancôme Monsuier mascara got it at Ulta when they had it for $15. Should have gotten a few back ups. Man eater was my favorite before that. We must have similar taste. I like my mascara to do it all I want volume and length lol! My lashes are moderate short and medium blond in color. So they match my skin if I do t have mascara on.

Hello Lisa… you are so beautiful and sweet in all your vids. I never told you how much I enjoy your brushes… especially the foundation one. Any how no one talks about Definils by Lancôme… I used this mascara for over a decade it great for both length and volume but since I became a KZread junkie (late to the trend) the last 5 years now I’m trying every one

Lisa, have you tried the new Mac Magic Extension 5mm Fibre Mascara? I used it with a primer and was amazed by how thick and long it made my lashes!

My favorite personally is the maybelline falsies mascara bin the silver and purple tube.

I'm just about finished my 2nd tube of the Sky high & LOVE 💕 it!! Funny thing is, I "used" to be all about more volume but after trying this I think I've switched up? Thinking I now like more length . Also tho thinking about primers again? Way back used one from Lancome & also L'Oreal. Looks like it actually does make a difference.

Just FYI. I loved your Kendra Scott earrings and decided to order them. So glad I read the reviews. Many reviewers reported receiving them already broken or they broke after one wear. Fragile design I guess. Regarding mascara, I just ordered and received the new Wayne Goss mascara. I really wanted to love it, but so far, not impressed. I will keep trying and use a primer first. My lashes are fairly long and have a bit of volume. I was hoping it would hold a curl more. It was also touted as super super black. I didn’t notice any big difference. Hi Lisa, you mention all the rave and voted best by allure in regards to mths maybelline sky high mascara. Although I love a drug store make up item, it isn’t that cheap, it’s actually $24 here in Australia unless on sale. I tested it many times and I find that nothing beats the Essence lash princess in the black and mint colour tube. It’s AUS$6 and so reliable and lengthening and volumising. I don’t see what all the hype is with the sky high. There are way more essence mascaras that perform way better than this product. Try it if you haven’t yet, you’ll be amazed.

Great video, Lisa. Here’s a question: what COLOR mascara do you typically purchase? I always get so hung up on the different blacks-blackest black, very black, black, etc. do you wear black or brown? I have found that I love brown mascara for every day makeup or minimal makeup. I think it looks softer. I have fair to light skin and blue eyes. I wear black mascara when I want a little drama. I ALWAYS wear brown on my lower lashes! I have long, thin lashes and I typically look for volume zing mascara. One of my all time favorites is maybelline full and soft. I’ve purchased sooo many over the years. I recently purchased the cover girl lash bloom and am really liking that, as well. Have a great day!

Monsieur Big is a great mascara. I didn’t really care for the Tient Idole. I also love the BadGal Bang - it has a plastic applicator which is similar to the Benefit one you tested, but it gives me length & volume. My FAVORITE of ALL TIME = Lancome Defenicil Precious Cells, but it was discontinued. I wonder if I could find it online somewhere. It was great in every category plus it had good stuff inside for your lashes.

YSL mascara makes my lashes long, curled and full. People think I have false lashes. Expensive but well worth it
