    John, you totally ROCK! I just ordered the Nama J2, using your ORIGINAL coupon code! I have watched so many of your videos and have learned SO much, not only about juicing, but about juicers!! I have owned Champion juicers twice throughout the years, and rarely used them because they were a major pain to use and clean. You are definitely THE expert in both juicing and juicers! I love your honesty and integrity and most of all just how very thorough and totally fair in explaining each juicer. I’ve been torn between the Kuving Auto10 and the Nama J2. Your video on comparing them sold me on the Nama J2. Even though the bigger hopper size was tempting, I saw the huge quality difference. Thank you so much for your dedication and hard work! By the way....I was sold on juicing when I first saw a video by you.... because you don’t have a single wrinkle on your face!!! You MAY have great genes, but something tells me it’s because you have juiced for years!!! 😁 I’m excited about receiving my Nama J2 and becoming healthier! Thank you so much!

I drink a green juice every morning (kale, celery, cucumber, green apple, lemon, ginger and a sprinkle of Ceylon cinnamon) I drink a carrot juice in the afternoon (carrot, red apple, green apple, orange, lemon, ginger, turmeric and a sprinkle of Ceylon cinnamon) the green juice is definitely my favourite for how it makes me feel. These recipes are really interesting and I’m going to try them.

  • @discountjuicers

    I have not. Thawed fruits and vegetables are not recommend for juicing. The main issue is that after thawing, they lose their texture and they are more like "mush". Due to this situation, most juicers will not work or produce horrible results. I do recommend turning frozen fruits into sorbet that I demonstrate in the video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nXdp2aN7fqnWh7A.html

    During the pandemic I did almost exclusive Vacuum Juicing due to food scarcity/cost , having more time and wanting the most nutrients. These days I use the J2 because its easier. I also juice in bulk. IF you only want to make 32 ounces a day, vaccuum juicing might be a better option, since its easier to clean, a bit more work, but you get more nutrition and yield, but it also depends on your specific recipe. You cant vaccum juice 100% carrots for example.

    Hi John, Thank you for this video !! I also just saw the vacuum lid video. That led me to a question. What do you think about commercial RAW juice companies that use the HHP (High Pressure Processing) to preserve RAW juice with out heat. Is this juice REALLY saving the enzymes, nutrients, etc. with juices that can last 30-60 days? I'm sure homemade fresh is best, I'm just wondering if these companies juices are really legitimate? Maybe you can create a video on this so your followers know about these store bought or shipping RAW juices. Thanks so much!! If you've done a video on it please send a link. GOD BLESS and so grateful for your videos!!

    HPP is a method of processing juice with pressure without heat, so it kills bacteria and denature enzymes. It does change the juice. However, it is shelf stable. I prefer drinking homemade de-aired juice myself best, but when I travel and dont have a juicer will buy HPP or gently pasturized (non-shelf stable) ie : refrigerated juices. I teach good better best. Each method of juicing (depending on the juicer) and processing will affect the juice differently. There are pros and cons to each method.

    Instead of jicama, you can juice celery root in its place, but it will change the recipe. you could also use parsnips. However, both these will change the flavor of the recipes, and I have not tested these items in my recipes. You could also use more green apple instead. My goal is to move away from juicing fruits, and jicama is a really nice alternative that has a unique (mellow) flavor and really sweet taste due to the FOS prebiotics.

    @@discountjuicers Thank you, John. At present we are kind of snowed in, and as we live on a steep hill and there's been some freezing rain, we aren't hitting the store until we absolutely have to. It's nasty out and we are both older and I have mobility issues. So I probably won't participate in the giveaway, though I may try some of your recipes later. Truly, though of course I'm curious about the Nama J2, it wouldn't be the best fit in my small kitchen, and since I have a GREAT juicer in the Sana 727, better the Nama go to someone who needs it more. I'm already into juicing mostly leafy greens, so you don't have to convince me about that! I'm making up savory green juice recipes like my "Tatsoi Tank" and others. I like jicama for balancing green juice for sure! But we get better quality jicama in summer. I also love jicama with grapefruit, carrot, ginger, and a sprig of thyme! Helps me with eye irritation from dry eye syndrome.

    What am I doing wrong Hmmm I’m not sure I’m liking the Nama j2 . I’ve made 4 juices and lots more pulp is in strainer and the strainer I have isn’t even fine mesh.. I even strained the juice twice and still got a good Tbls of pulp the second time thru. Very disappointed. I layered it this way.. first, all produce was cut in 3” lengths… parsley, kale, lemon apples cucumbers ginger sliced in 1/8” (thin thin) slices against the grain . It didn’t fit my whole recipe either which makes one quart of juice I had to feed in the rest so it wasn’t a “put it all in and walk away thing.” 😢

  • @discountjuicers

    @discountjuicers

    Several items that you are juicing can cause excessive pulp in the juice. Based on your recipe, the fruits including apple cucumber and possibly lemon can put ALOT of pulp into the juice. This happens especially if the fruit is really SOFT. It is best to select hard and firm fruit for juicing, for example, granny smith apples that are hard and firm and dont dent when you push into them compared to gala apples that generally make a pulpier juice. Also cucumbers that are "regular ones" aka marketmore. can add lots of pulp to the juice. So Select FIRM english cucumbers (the ones comes wrapped in plastic) they put much less pulp in the juice. Of course, if you dont want to continue to get the softer produce, just expect some pulp in your juice, since the juicer works more effectively on harder/firm produce than produce that is soft.

    YES! I encourage people to eat fruit whole or vacuum blend instead of juicing. However, it will change the flavor of the juices, so add more jicama
