Most important issue not added - how to import text into your ebook format properly. Found out with designerr when I imported from word it completely messed out my lay out and its hard to fix it as designer is using paragraphs. Its one big mess I waste my time on fixing. Importing text in any e - book creator is major point overlooked in this video

Thanks so much! I just made 28 interactive children's ebooks for signlanguage learning with a lot of video in it, made in Xcode for iOS. problems; It's very big in data. Do you know a way to pile them in 1 light app and stream the apps so I don't fill people devices?

Can't you save a word document as a PDF and then upload to Canva so at least you have your publishing doc done and then get creative with Canva?

I'm still confused... when I make everything in Google Docs it looks the same nice only if I save in PDF format. When I save in .ePub, .docx or .odt everything looks a mess, and link-active Table of content disappears :( However publishing platforms mostly don't accept PDFs! Converting makes same mess. So what to do :(

HELP !!!! - After sending over 300 proposals to agents for my book "Rebel With A View, The Florentine Diaries Of Oscar Wright, 1997 - 2002", a got a note from a small publisher whoo said, "sounds interesting, please send me the full manuscript" which I did....however it has been 6 months with just one other exchange of emails and then silence....my question is, should I continue to wait or self publish ?

Oh that is difficult. Look into the reality that publishers give the author I believe less than 5%. You still have to figure out a way to promote your book after their intitial launch. Imo it is a good idea now these days to self publish.

Even though you have written a book or e book your still need to copyright it that cost money, and you will need to pay for ISBN number, KIndle will not let you upload with out these things so people should be told about uploading to kindle.

Err… How many pages do each of these allow you to create? I understand Designerr, for example, has a limit of 100. That is not even a novella. When is an ebook not an ebook but an e-pamphlet?

These all look like they're intended more for aggregated content ebooks rather than a nonfiction or fiction book. Good video, though, well presented.

No these aren't real e-books that you can read on your Kindle or Nook. These are PDF files (yeah that 1990s file format) that no one reads except people who refuse to accept that printing stuff is bad for the environment.

Very disappointing. Why mention Adobe inDesign if you were not going to offer any details. Frustrating!

Thanks for the information. I usually print out my PDF downloads and I absolutely HATE when there is a solid block of color on the front or front and back pages! It uses a lot of ink. Or am I just being a baby?

Ive read alot of good thing about ebookspace.org they have a good range of books to choose from
