Brilliant video. Completely missed the = function too since I started with v1.0. Much appreciated
You have NO idea how much I appreciate this channel. Hope you stay active infinitely! Keep em coming!
I've been using Reason for years and consider myself well versed in it, but I learned something new in this vid
Thanks. Great video.
You make the best Reason Tutorials. Thanks for all your hard work!
great tips and great intro lol
I've been using Reason for 16 years, and I even learned a few tips from this Video. Nice to find someone knowledgeable and sharing Tutorial's with Reason in mind. There are far to many Tutorials for other DAW's with minimal focus on Reason here on KZread. Will be sure to keep up to date with your channel. Keep up the great work!
That Grid tip was something I didn't know about. Thanks.
Thank you
Reason is a beast! I'm glad I came across your video.
LOVE this video. You just got a new subscriber. Reason tutorials are hard to find and you seem very knowledgeable. Please keep it up!
Brilliant tips thanks mate
your sick buddy thanks for the tips 2:03 fav part
great video keep it up :D
Not a beginner by any means, (Reason 2.5, way back) but somehow I didn't know (or more likely forgot) about time-stretching automation clips. I do it all the time with audio and midi clips, but not automation. So yeah, thanks.

Thanks for always watching and commenting, Bob!
Even simpler, you can select all four notes and hit the equal sign to create a chord. Reason will automatically remove overlapping notes.

@@itsdjQuasar You're welcome! I should point out that this technique only works if the notes are in equal length and volume, so you also have to press the other two equal signs :) I usually draw in notes manually.
Great tips! How can anyone downvote this?

Guess there's always room for improvement... Thanks for commenting!
That sure was a lot of work for converting to pad chords
I bought decks years ago and never used them, about 6 months ago I bought new decks and hardly used them, do you know how to use digital decks as a control surface in Reason?

hmmm... Like cdj's? You could use them to send midi maybe... Other than that I don't know..

Are you using a limiter on your master bus? Does the exported track sound distorted as well as compressed? Crunchy?

@@itsdjQuasar hi;. thanks for the swift reply. ok. i use a hp laptop.and it has 2 drivers .1 for the built in speakers and 1 for the headphones. i can switch between the two.though when i listen to your video it sounds good on either..though mine only sounds good using the headphone driver. i have bypassed all effect/mastering etc.. example: track starts with a simple sequence and drums kick in after 4 bars....good on headphone drive. switch to speaker driver and when the drums kick in, the sequencer drops volume.then the song fades in and out.....i think its the soundcard

@@catchcandy8082 Hmmm. Hard to tell. The reason I asked about a limiter is that I think your mix (or some tracks like drums and bass) is too hot. Reason studios did a video a while back on Clipping in Reason. You should search it up. It made me think of it when you said that the song sounded fine before you exported it. I think this is mostly a mixing/mastering issue. Try exporting with drums and bass mixed with less low-end info and less volume. Take the sub rumble out of each track with the HP Filter on the channels. Take any low-end info you don't need on any channel.
