I do have one! My wig keeps on "dancing around" in the mannequin (the support). I dunno if i'm supoosed to "tie" the elastic thats in the wig cap/insides or not before styling Sory for my bad english.

@@Nyallye Is it a styrofoam head? Then you can secure the wig with sewing pins. :)

Which method of teasing a wig is the best in your opinion?

I'm doing research before styling my princess daisy wig, this was helpful, thank you! Also, I'm trying to figure out how to cut layers without it looking choppy.. If you make another one of these I would appreciate it if you covered that. Thanks so much for this series it helped so much

Hamolly: How cute is this?! Two fluffy purple pom poms are attached to a narrow headband to create a super fun accessory for any costume or to just add a whimsical touch to your outfit.

That custom wig head trick is genius!!!

Agh I feel like you’re underrated, your cosplay and knowledge is admirable

I did the first method for a wig of mine and I used Fabric Glue which worked really well!

Ach wie süß, danke!! 🥺 Ich kämme sie meist von unten nach oben einmal grob durch und glätte sie dann mit dem Heißwasser-Trick. Das Styling ist dann halt hinüber, aber wenn‘s so sehr verfilzt ist, muss ich da leider durch. 😩

My favs cosplay are the one I don’t need to style a wig for because idk it terrifies me even if with these types of videos it seems like I could try, I’m ready for now 😭😂

Is there a way to cut bangs into a synthetic wig with a defined middle part?

To set fast those big waves, after the heat we wrapped around the spay can to cool it faster.❤

How do you remove wefts?

I'm using a cheaper wig that I believe isn't naturally heat-resistant. How would you go about getting the swirls from Tip 4. / 6:56 on a wig like that? Thanks in advance for any response!

Mhmmm you can try if a hairdryer on a low setting works without damaging the hair and maybe repeat that a few times

I’ve been meaning to cosplay James (Team Rocket) but i don’t know how to style curtains. Any advice?

Yes! Teasing the hair a bit, shaping the hair and applying heat with a hair dryer and adding hairspray. In the first part of this video series I'm talking about adding volume to bangs, that's a similar technique. :)

So as a complete beginner, my biggest question is where do you actually get a good wig in the first place? Since I've never done this before, it should be rather cheap while still being suitable for styling. I know that most Halloween costume stores have some, but I've heard that they are usually pretty bad. Or in other words: How do I know, which wigs are suitable and which should be avoided? I'm also Germany-based, so if you have any recommendations, I would be very happy ^^

I mostly get my wigs from eBay and Amazon, lacefront wigs start costing between 50-60€, no lacefront wigs starting at 20-30€ are usually good! Everything that’s cheaper is mostly an indication for a low quality wig

I have an amazon Deku wig (My mom got it for my birthday because she knows I love cosplayers, it's not very good quality but I'm thankful and I will use it even if it's not for cosplays) and I'm planning on wearing it casually, I spent hours straightening it yesterday and now I don't know what to do further. Also, I have hairgel instead of hairspray, will that work?

Aww that’s sweet! Hairgel does not work in my experience, I recommend using the Got2B glued hairspray. :) Any specific styling you want to try?

We don’t have a flat iron or curly iron at home cause nobody in our house really uses it, we only have a blow dryer. Is there still a way i can make ‘swirls?’

You can definitely try with a hairdryer, but the temperature might be too low. You could also try curling it into big curlers and gently put it into hot water and let it dry.

Depends on the complexity, but I’d always suggest starting with the wig first, so give yourself enough time to finish it :)

Not if it‘s heat resistant. Most higher quality wigs are, but I would suggest testing it on a single strand first!

Are the wigs you used in the video Human hair or synthetic. Because one time I tried to use straightener on a synthetic hair and it shriveled up 😰

Synthetic, but the wigs vary in quality and sometimes aren't heat resistent, so I would test it on a single strand first. The wigs I buy that are between 20-30€ or 50€+ for a lace front are usually heat resistant. I hope this helps :)
