Any OG Jordan 1 high color way will hold its value well. What I love about Jordan 1, my favorite sneaker, is the sole doesn’t crumble and they look better worn.

I think the problem with these iconic colourways is that Jordan Brand can't keep releasing more if people expect these to hold their value. This is especially going to be true for the Chicagos if Jordan releases those in the '85 cut. I personally want them to release more of them so I can actually buy them for reasonable prices instead of resorting to reps lol

Every shoe has a lifespan depending on how well you take care of them, how often you wear there, and if you use sole and toebox protectors. After a few wears they should be broken in.

What about the spiderman Jordan 1 2018 basically a Chicago Jordan 1

Don't give false hope ... a retro will never reach the OG price point ... people would just wait for the next retro of the colorway. The first is that expensive, as it is more of a historical item. You cannot replicate the value of a historical first.
