When your big brother's thumb is attached to a flopping catfish via the same treble hook, yes, something to cut through a hook quickly is good to have on the boat. Unfortunately I had to beat the snot out of the fish before I could get to the tool box for wire cutters. Now I keep them handy.

One thing I do for senkos is put clear heat shrink on them. They hold up so well for me.
