    Your right if I can do it anyone can do it… lol Thanks for the video best sequence video so far. Another question do you have to use a torque wrench on The lifters, intake, timing cover, oil pump, pretty much everything that involves a cam and lifters project. Would a children’s book help out with specs? Or what book do you recommend?…. Childrens…LMAO DAMN AUTO CORRECT.. Chiltons book?

  • @sharpcarco

    Oh my god that had me rolling….. children’s book I thought you were making fun of me When I first read it You should always use a torque wrench for everything there is very few things I do not use a torque wrench for. I think it’s important to torque covers down but if I wasn’t going to use a torque wrench on something it would probably be something that does not move. So as far as the cam and lifters go I would definitely use a torque wrench. Welcome to the channel Rey thanks for the laugh brother and have a good evening we’re happy to have You here

    So apparently on passenger side head I torqued it to 40 then 90 degrees turn because the page was missing where it says torque to 25 first. Driver side I did properly 25, 40 then 90 degrees. What are the chances that the passenger side head gasket will cause a problem. Or I should be ok!!!!!!!!!!. Thanks

    I often reuse my bolts but you are not supposed to they are torque to yield you are supposed to get new ones. I do this personally to contact my own personal test on my vehicles because I have the ability to just take them apart and fix them. But the proper recommendation is that you get new ones

    If the new head bolts that you’re using had Loctite on them or if you were reusing Head bolts with Loctite on them you use Loctite. . If the head bolts you took out had Loctite you use Loctite if not you don’t I hope that helps you out brother have a great day just make sure you follow the sequence properly most head bolts do not use Loctite

  • @sharpcarco

    @sharpcarco

    5 жыл бұрын

    Yes it is always good practice to torque down any bolt two specifications, . Unfortunately I do not have the specifications for that I would recommend just looking it up on Google. Unfortunately under any circumstance I could not recommend someone to tighten down the bolts without looking up the torque specifications. As far as the engine is concerned on the inside of the engine we torque everything down to the proper specifications. Because we don’t want to ever have to take it apart or have it fail prematurely

    Sorry did not notice that I had a comment I dropped a valve which punctured the piston the dang thing never overheated no signs no nothing just went into the bank one afternoon running fine shut it off come back out would not start. I replaced the radiator found out later I forgot to tighten the radiator support bar well it just blew months later after the radiator replacement. It got a lot worse after got a surefire motor to replace the old one. well they never put in the installation instructions that you have to use the old pilot bearing out of the old motor so during replacement the new motor destroyed the teeth for the transmission pump. was not very happy with the company they ended up giving me my money back because I was going to sue them for negligence you expect people to automatically assume that you have to use something that is what a installation manual is supposed to be for. @@trenchbaby5717

What do you think? 90° means ? How do I even answer that question?
