There's a pretty popular post on tumblr where someone was asking how to deal with the spicy feeling in the mouth. They decided to try and take some mints/mouthwash etc because the cold minty feeling from that would hypothetically counteract the hot spicy feeling. What this person found, however, was that the 'hot' receptors in the mouth are different from the 'cold' receptors. This person in turn felt both the sharpness of the spice and the mint at the same time. I bring that up because this level. God damn.

If I had a nickel for every time 7th Beats uses a fire and ice gimmick in their games, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

This is going to expose me as a huge scrub, but on 0:33 - 0:35 that "freeze, beat, OTHER BEAT" caught me out so much. I wasn't keeping the base rhythm in mind when I was busy thinking about the freezes. :D

this one is strange, it's fairly easy to memorize the rhythms but hard to actually use them without messing up

The hardest level right here

For those who don't totally understand heat and freeze beat timings with other SVT beats mixed in, think of it like this: The timing window after a freeze beat will generally be shorter. The timing window after a heat beat will generally be longer. This is to account for the timings, since heat beats are faster and freeze beats are slower. Freeze beats also stay in the cardiogram for longer, unlike heat beats which take a short trip to go across the cardiogram. As well, if you think of the chimes like a "Rea-dy Get set" cue using swing rhythms, on the equivalent of "Set", or the fourth chime, or the last chime in the second set, you hit the note, no matter which kind it is. Another interesting detail is that heat beat cues start on the first half of the prior SVT beat, when the beat appears on the cardiogram, while freeze beat cues start on the second half of the prior SVT beat, when you catch the SVT beat at the end of the cardiogram, which is likely why the timing window after freeze beats is shorter. "Five! Tonk-Tonk-Tonk-Tonk-Tonk!"

What an insane level, normally I'd say I can keep up with the rhythm but this is something else, huge props for being able to do it and thank you for the fast upload

Freezeshots and Flareshots. Combine the 2 and my brain just stops processing properly. Good on you for getting this down so quick!

I have cleared every level, except for this one (it's those damn burn beats), so you have my respect for getting an S+ rank on this nightmare.

Me realizing that a burn beat is a "get set one" cue with a skipshot before it: UNLIMITED POWER!

I love this level, the music and the gameplay combines are so good and the subdivision section at the end is very fun

This song is actually harder than the boss for this act, if not the hardest song in story mode.

I saw that five coming

Easily the hardest act 5 level to S rank imo. The rest took a few tries for me but this one took a while. Huge props to anyone who can S ranks it even once.

This was bloody hard to follow in my mind, but I perfected it too

Possibly because the level labels their steps with cryptic notations and words like ableations, alone with the funky background and somewhat unsettling background music

Proudest B+ of my life

After playing this stage a couple times through, something just clicked and I was able to A+ it with only a couple misses.

솔직히 보스 곡보다 짧아서 그렇지 전반적인 난이도는 제일 흉악했음

This song was hard, especially with that curve ball at 2:38 (which is saying something cus act 5 is baseball themed).

이번 5장은 뭔가 개발진 측에서 작정하고 힘을 줬는지 4-1N 따위와는 비교도 안되게 어려운듯

caused by excessive shake it's just an small issue

Dunno if you tried but you should definitely check the 2 player version of this, it’s a little more unique.

보통 일반깨고 저녁 깨는데, 저거 진짜 한번 딱 하자마자 중간에 끄고 안하는중 개어려움...

솔직히 보스곡은 어떻게든 깼는데 이거 첫트라이 d받고 다신 할마음이 사라진 곡임...

I have to do the first three steps with my eyes closed because the visuals are so distracting

냉박과 온박은 사실 원리가 동일하다. 첫 "삑ㅡ빡"이 7번째 박에 오면 냉박이고, 1번째 박에 오면 온박일 뿐. 두번째 삑ㅡ빡에는 빡에서 쳐야 되는 점까지 같다.

얼음까지는 그래도 괜찮았는데 온열은 ㄹㅇ 뇌절이었음... 지금까지 계속 직관적인 기믹들로만 만들다가 갑자기 기존의 개발 방향을 다 무시해버린 이상한 기믹임

이번 기믹이 유독 말이 많긴 하네요 저는 이게 기믹의 문제보다는 레벨의 문제라고 봅니다 기믹 자체는 느린 박자에서 크게 문제가 안 되는데 곡이 보통 빠른 곡이 아니다 보니 난이도가 급증할 수밖에 없죠
