The best way to film these races is a toy down video from a hovering drone. It's great none the less!

That would be cool! My only hesitation is the noise distracting the drivers. Maybe next time

@@RacewayOne we are going to attempt it at Glasgow soon. An alternative is two cheap 360deg cameras on tripods and follow the action in post production. I have also been using the Caddx Peanut action camera for in car footage on my cars. Perhaps you could encourage some drivers to run them too! kzread.info/dash/bejne/h2tq1a6eiMjad84.html

Only one jump on the entire track, just rolling hills everywhere else does not make it off-road. It's more like touring/rally car racing. Just a different style of racing in Europe I guess!

Hi Craig, the Kidderminster track may be considered to be "old school" by some, but it is definitely considered off-road by all. The artificial grass was laid a couple of decades ago and nature has taken its course with bumps caused by roots and flow of water making it very challenging. You're watching the best in Europe negotiate it with ease, but for the average racer its hard to keep the car on the ground - the literal definition of off-road. Thanks for your comment.

@@RacewayOne I am pretty sure the track is NOT easy to negotiate and I also know those are some top name drivers putting in work. I am just used to seeing more jumps in whatever layout that would require rhythm between the jumps along with carrying speed in and out of the turns. I just noticed the differences in track layouts when compared to the tracks in the U.S.. I noticed you guys have more of a F1 style of flow on the track, which is also very fun to drive, so please don't get me wrong. It seems to me that we in the west prefer more jumps than a nice clean flow. And I'm just speaking for me!

Yes the tracks in Northern Europe are very different to the US. I suspect that it is climate driven. Our outdoor tracks get a lot of rain over the year, so artificial grass is the go-to surface. Dirt becomes Mud too easily. We also don't have a long enough season of warm dry weather to make an indoor clay track with misters/sprinklers etc work either. The one or two indoor clay tracks we have tend to go green as an algae forms on the surface. I love the spectacle of the US style tracks, but I love the technicality of some of the old school Euro tracks too.

@@RacewayOne I didn't mean to come off like I didn't like the track, but I kind of figured you guys get a ton rain over there. And all the tracks over there are very technical!! I just got home from doing some maintenance on our home track which is made of Georgia red river clay that has no sand at all, the traction is very high bite! We are hosting the ROAR 2023 1/10 off-road Nationals this year. It will be like no other National. Wait and see!
