@@noahtekulve2684 sanctuary is another one to keep an eye on. It Inspired more from Supreme Commander but is supposed to be set on a Dyson Sphere.

4v4v4v4v4v4 sounds Awesome! Will ask the Mapping Team to cook something up! Beside that: Awesome to see another vid. We will (all) be watching this I'm sure! Major thanks, again, for another beauty!

This entire game could be summarized with "Blue gets everyone to look everywhere they shouldn't, the entire game" 1)The commander Gambit followed by a textbook thunder run 2)The Raid on red, opening the way for yellow to invade red 3)Bombing yellow while they were distracted with the red invasion 4)Second raid on red to trick red into reinforcing the yellow island front 5) Using the white navy up north to ruin any chance of a green resurgence and also destroying half of reds econ 6)switching back to the prime red front while they're dealing with picking up a shambled econ Blue's decision to keep bouncing what front they were pushing continuously put everyone else on the back foot, the entire pace of the game was determined by blue not even 10 minutes in, everyone else was simply reacting to blues machinations

If your looking for games like BAR there is Supreme commander forged alliance, kept alive by the Forged Alliance Forever (FAF) community, Planetary Annihilation Titans and Sanctuary Shattered Sun which is upcoming. PA Titants is on a solar system scale but is kind of lacking with factions, FAF is an ancient game that looks amazing despite coming out in 2007 it’s graphics are comparable to other modern games and it has 4 factions. Sanctuary is set on a Dyson Sphere and has weather as a weapon, solar radiation if you crack the sphere. It’s basically Forged Alliance but upgraded and with some cool new mechanics, but will only has 3 factions.

@@gugibugi0 Forged alliance is an old game, but the graphics hold up well. PA Titans is a little more simplistic than FAF. Sanctuary is still in development. I recommend watching a video on each as one may be more to your taste than another. For me I am not a huge fan of BAR's art style.

This was more like a 4v12, and it was still an unmitigated massacre. Nobody even made it onto Blue's island, or really provided any serious resistance.

Great to see no more long winded introductions and trying to guess player colours,we get to know the players during the narration as the battle progresses. +1.

Spoiler: I think the winning move for Team Blue was right here at 7:50. White sacrificed his commander to break Green's line, which did enough damage to permanently push forward onto that island and start crippling the rest of Green's eco. From there, Blue gradually took more and more land until they had an overwhelming advantage. They also did an excellent job using bombers and naval units to hit the other teams in their eco. Very well played all around. Super fun to watch!

Yes! At last good successor to TA, some years ago i tried to play something similar called Spring, but it didn't stick. BAR seems VERY NICE. (Good thing that really good spiritual successor is SupCom, i'll now play both :D) About the game, i must say it's really weird thing that most of the game only blue team had good air and sea superiority, other teams had some but not nearly enough. And as someone else mentioned, that push to the green island effectively gave blue team extreme boost for the long game to "outproduce" other teams. GG

Thank you for sharing! I recently learned about BAR and I'm excited to see it! Played a lot of TA when I was younger. Still got an original TA cd in storage.

God I love watching these, I just got into Beyond All Reason and I'm pretty new to RTS games. A lot of help, and a blast to watch.

Impressive play! Red: *Has been created few Scout ships* (29:15) Wingflier: It looks like we gona see a nice engagement between Cyan's naval army vs Red's ships.. 😅 It was too quite i think, that's why Cyan tried to attack Red player and not Yellow team. And ye, Red was at T3 stage. It was painful to watch at Bruce's (light red player) fussions been exploded. 😢 P. S. I give my viewer points! to the DR4GOoNZz for tanacity. 😊

Finally, the player intros we needed

I was _really_ hoping that that last guy would demand a duel, and that Blue would line up his big robots there and fight the last guy man to man. His victory is inevitable, but giant robot fight club and Braveheart quote opportunities are attractive mental images.

Fun tip you can order an attack ground on areas you have no viz/radar. This works for all longer range attacks including Arty emplacements

But you still have to guess where they are, otherwise you're just blasting dirt.. Probably not so easy in the heat of battle.

Red made that epic with their last ditch attempt to counter the navy. Awesome game!

This game looks pretty sweet already. I'm coming from Planetary Annihilation, and I really like the titan units in that game, as well as the planetary interplay and the orbital unit class, but this seems like it could get some actual love from the devs and the community and just be a better game. Also, this game has factions? PA needs a mod to do that.

It gets updates several times daily AFAIK. But steam release still far away.

I keep having a really buggy startup/main menu that keeps me from playing. It worked fine the first day but now it just glitches out horribly every time or only partially loads things in. I gotta try to reinstall it and see if that fixes anything. Shame as it seems fun, but I may have to go back to FAF if I can't figure out these issues lol.

Im not familiar with some of these units, is this an older version or what?

Looking to try the game, I remember the olden days of Spring RTS, so I am getting non-trivial amounts of nostalgia pings. Also being desperate for a rts with a living multiplayer scene at all.

the youtube algorithm _heavily_ promotes wintergaming channel for any search for Beyond All Reason. I had no exposure to the SC2 community but i suspected he came from that player base. i was like "who is this dude? and why is he on all the videos?" lol

Was this a moded version of the game or something? It looks like there are a few units at 7:58 That I don't recognize like the 4 legged bot with a shield or a few second later those ARM mexes with a spinny thingy.

That's the Legion, the new faction. You have to turn it on manually in the options.

Personally, I love what this game is bringing to the table, but I wish to see the interface be worked on a little more, to be more user friendly for sure. XD (Not the spectatir interface, that's super well done, but the actual in game interface.)

Does this game have a 'Horde' mode?

The opposite. If anything PA is a copy of this. The engine this was made with came out in 2003.

Interesting - PA has a faction mod called Legion, could this be connected?

I think saying "guys" less often would improve the casts a bit. Please don't take this the wrong way, I love your casts and it's just a small suggestion.

Like the game but think the unit design is very bland, especially the bigger units. Needs a 40k mod :)

Never played the game, and maybe you'd rightfully call me a TA puritan, but man this looks awful compared. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. There's been a lot of design "fixing" going on here and none of it is appealing.

Just my opinion, but a 4v4v4v4 is probably not the place to be explaining the basics of the game; anyone watching a cluster-F like this either already knows, or doesn't care.
