I think the perceived lacking in the 4th gen interior is probably trim level. The 4th gen Laramie and up interiors are pretty nice, even compared to some of the newer trucks from Ford and GM.

Their just more aggressive but the 5th gens don’t look to bad

I have a 4th gen laramie and I would give it up tomorrow for the same trim level in a 5th gen if I could get the right deal

So could you swap door panels?

Front bumper is stock, Rear bumper is a roll pan from Streetscene.

I like the fifth, but I would do away with the RAM name. Put a off road light bar in the place

That would be a 4th gen, you can typically tell by the look of the front end. 2019+ is 5th Gen for the Heavy Duty line.

If I was going for looks it would be 4th gen...but 5th gen is way more comfortable.

Cab lights!..... Come on ,it's a diesel, cab lights should be standard!

10 speed autos on a diesel is nothing but a market scam. The torque of a diesel doesnt need the extra gears especially with the electronic toque converters…. All your getting is a more complicated transmission with more junk in it to go wrong. On top of that constantly changing gears will wear the transmission faster. 68rfe is alright… but the aisin is literally the equivalent of sticking the old Allisons behind a cummins… so its a no brainer get the aisin. I just wish you could still order a g56 then the entire argument is mute

I choose the Chevy Gen.

I think a lot of people would agree!!

Fifth generation is a no go, it’s an ugly Durango with the hatch cut out. Fourth generation looked much more masculine. Fiat threw a purse in it lol
