Very nice drawer systems. It does help to have a friend who is a master carpenter/craftsman. Love the tilting drawer for the frig.

@@RevereOverland don’t flip out like EVERYONE else. But i just ordered a gladiator rubicon diesel. The fuel mileage is killing me lately. Yes the new tundra would be amazing with crawl and locker and no leaf springs but I’m going to the dark side for a bit. Decked is heavy and wasted space on the sides. I would make my own and wait for rsi smart cap or alucab to make a topper.

That is a good looking drawer system!

Firstly, the work you and the team have put into this is amazing. Could you share more insights into the issues you had with the stove slide design? I'm thinking of purchasing your plans, and would like to set it up as a mobile kitchen. I was considering putting a stove slide under the fridge slide; acknowledging that it this would make it more difficult to get food out of the fridge. Also, adding some type of sink setup and a retractable cutting board/prep-space.

Plans purchased. Really looking forward to this build!

Interesting that you did away with the slide for the stove. On my XJ Cherokee build, it's my most used and convenient feature.

This is more fitting for custom cabinet maker, good skills and tools

I was thinking about building a drawer system for my 4Runner for our summer 2022 road trip from Quebec to California, this is helping inspire me!

I wish I was a bit better when it comes to building things. I would love to have a drawer system for my 2005 WK.

It would have been so nice to have a kitted out shop to build my rig in. Lol. Nice set up. 👍

Not at the moment, but it wouldn't be too hard to do. We'll be working on seat deletes at some point, so it would go well with that.

Does this work if the 4Runner has the slide out shelf in the rear?

This looks great! What size and weight fridges are supported on the slide? I have a Dometic CFX 65w - will that fit and will the weight be supported with the tilt feature?

The slides are rated to 250lbs. The plans are designed for fridges with a base up to 24"x16.6", but the CFX 65W is about 29"x18". Obviously it can be adapted to work though!

I think this is cool but dobinson sells these made out of aluminum if I’m correct for far cheaper. What makes these better?

Yes, the 2nd one I showed is the revised version and is what the 4Runner plans and parts will look like

The plans are designed for fridges with a base up to 24"x16.6", although Wes may work on a version for the dual zone fridges since they're so popular. The slides are rated for 250lbs.

Does this system have the ability to strap the fridge down both front and rear?

A lot. I'd guess a couple of hundred pounds.

I think fridge should be removable so you can use flat surface.

Great build, but definable not DIY. Lol..That drawer system is really nice.

This looks nice but those butt joints aren't going to be very strong. Dados or similar would have been a better option.

I just checked my mileage log and I've done 24k tracked miles since the drawers were installed, with a big chunk of that being rough unpaved roads!

Chris, with all due respect, I have 20 years of building experience in fine woodworking with all types of handcut and machine cut joints as well as an engineering degree. While there are definitely better joints than a butt joint, in this situation a butt joint is more than enough and will last a lifetime. An end grain screw into baltic birch is a very strong joint.
