I still remember playing Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader on the GameCube thinking it was the best graphics ever. My how far graphics have come.

This spaceship is indestructible!!!!! They hit the player for almost 20 minutes and the aircraft didn' t have a single scratch!!!

Even without cheats, ships are way too sturdy. Shields nearly instantly recharge when you divert power to them, too, _and_ you can just fly over to the V-Wing to instantly get repaired and have all your warheads replenished. It's just stupid tbh.

hands down best VR title. 1080ti with Oculus and HOTAS and rudder peddles. love it

@@rishabsalian4338 I have the Tflight X hotas works directly plug and play. I know of others who use the 16000 and it works. You may need to change some keybindings but it should work. Some people also use add ons to help with deadzones as well. The 16000 is a much better HOTAS than the Tflight X if I had it to do over I'd get that one. I have the rudder pedals from the 16000 and they work great

If you get a trench run, target, go half speed and do when you see arrows and continue. That's one of the fastest ways to do it.

I have this game in VR...it is nuts

The graphics are beautiful, but the gameplay feels more like The Last Jedi than Return of the Jedi. And was this set on Easy difficulty? That Y-wing was taking more hits than an AT-AT.

This game isn't very demanding. I can play it on ultra (1080p) on my 980ti. But i'm getting a 4090 too soon which will make me able to play it in VR.

I was playing it in vr on sony playstation vr 1 already. Remarkable experience. Omly glaw is huge pixels and narrow angle of view

I really wish they’d release this on PSVR2. Loved it on my PSVR OG! I bought a HOTAS just for it. I know it’s highly unlikely but I still wish they’d do it.

@@rbeforme we’ve already got Tales From The Galaxy’s Edge so can’t complain. But this was such a wonderful game and I don’t think we’ll see another quite like it. I’m sure there will be more Star Wars content but I just want to fly my X-Wing again!

It is like WW1 in space!

Having played it in VR I can honestly say I don’t think it’s worth playing unless you have a VR headset. With the headset and a good pair of headphones it is REALLY immersive. I understand that not everyone can play it that way though… I don’t get any motion sickness AT ALL But I’ve known people who get really sick playing VR even with all the anti motion sickness settings maxed out 😕

This game is the next gen version of a SW app you’d see on KZread.

Funny how SW uses X, Y, A Wing for fighter names but not our alphabet :)

dude has his power all routed to shields in a Y-Wing, probably on story difficulty. It gets a LOT faster when you fly harder.

This game had 1/8 the content it should have. Could have been a X-Wing Vs Tie Fighter remake. Such a let down. But I love this game...

@@remoman Destiny 2 did the same thing. They went out of their way to make sure their was a womens voice in your ear at all times. Nothing better running around with a giant gun and having some shrew come over coms to remind you she's there. I play games to get away from a shrill voice in my ear. My wife is here for that.

Fun game, except I could never master the Xbox controller - trying to aim shots was frustrating. Though I see some people play Xbox Squadrons with a keyboard & mouse? Also too much gas & dust floating around in space. What happened to simple black starscapes?

It never seizes to amaze me how thin the windshields are in SW universe fighters. For example space shuttles have 6" thick fused silica glass windshields. But the windshields in rebel figfhter canopies never seem to be even one inch thick.

@@michaelmichaelagnew8503 SW is Science Fiction. Fantasy is a whole separate genre. It however does not matter to me what you think, I didn't do anything with that piece of information. Those canopies don't make any sense, they even shatter like regular glass. IMO even the hyperdrive in SW makes more sense, because the ships use lightspeed - not some warp. There are plenty of elements in the franchise, which do make sense, why souldn't the canopies. The fighter pilots would get grilled by the radiation in the space. As an actual real life trivia, one of the most common illnesses of fighter and airline pilots are various type of cancers, they have twice as high risk to get skin cancer, as in melanoma, than the general population. It has been extensively studied. The issue has been considered by adding a thin sheet of actual gold in fighter jet canopies to reflect the sunlight away from the pilots, giving the canopies that certain kind of yellow golden tint. In SW the canopies are clear. Another thing in actual fighter jet canopies is that they are often composed together from two canopie glasses to offer better protection from impacts like bird strikes in sonic speeds. In SW we see the canopies literaly shattering like thin window glasses even from the smallest of impacts.

It's about the whole untapped potential of our brain, which has been scientifically established and toyed around in sciencefiction. It just borders with fantasy, which has taken the same idea from the same context. There however is no magic in SW, to which you are trying to refer. Jedi powers come from *Midi* - *Chlorians* which are designated as sentient organisms and are classified as microbes living symbiotically inside the cells of living things. No magic there mate...

They only had to port/remaster/remake Rogue Squadron 1 to 3, only that.

Looking very solid. I wish we would have a similar fidelity as Digitial Combat Simulator (DCS), in a star wars format.

These really dense asteroid fields aren't actual astronomy/cosmology friendly, but I like them. Takes me back the live servers for Star Wars Galaxies. Dog-fighting in an asteroid field could be fun and challenging, but I would take non-combatant ships like a SoroSuub yacht, and go to the observation or main deck, to watch the view.

I can’t even get into a game anymore. Waiting seems to last forever

Dialog is terrible but holy shit does it look great.

It’s like watching a slow truck driving past a hail of bullets. Hopefully space fighters won’t be this slow during combat.

Has 4090, uses controller ☠, so much potential.

Okay, now do X-Wing Alliance-like mission complexity and game mechanics with this graphics.

I'd love that. For all this game's faults, it was at least really immersive, and the graphics were _amazing_ . Still holding out hope for another X-Wing game, even if some indie studio or whatever has to be the ones to make it.

There's no feeling of speed like in the movies, and the flying just looks awkward. Improve the speed and make the controls fun.

That trench run was painful to watch

I have this game too. Was fun for like 2 hours. Then I bought a robot instead. More fun.

It look nice except why is the spaceship going at 3km/h xD You gotta add some speed to this developpers if you want to make a sensational game !

It's pretty alright, but the gameplay is weak. The old X-Wing series did all this better. The Y-Wings don't have to fly over a target to "drop" bombs. They can just launch unguided explosive projectiles at a safe range. Which would work well here because this station doesn't seem capable of moving. Plus, I object to the Disney Star Wars Rogue Squadron ship being inserted into the game. It sucks.

Sure it looks great, but give me these graphics with the ORIGINAL game from 1994 that's not dumbed down and you've got an unbeatable 10 out of 10.

This games makes *World of Warplanes* feel way better, now compare it to War thunder wich arcade mode feels like a simulator compared to Warplanes. Now compare it to DCS or IL-2 and this game feels like a roblox basic game

never understood why in any starwars games you can't make a complete stop in space. I mean, it's not like you have to keep moving to stay afloat.

What a sloth gameplay without exciting moments

I get it, the republic is women and aliens and the Empire is straight white British men. Very subtle.

How are there giant fiery explosions in space without oxygen? Is there a lore reason I'm not aware of?

Bit boring when you see how much damage and hits the ship takes, no skill involved just absorb all the damage! Ignoring what should be deadly fire.

If they Will made the fucking sequel of star wars Rebels after they made the series about Ahsoka Tano and Ezra Bridger and After Rebels season five set during the original Trilogy of star wars, they will put baby Ben Solo and this sequel of Rebels will be five seasons because It will be sets five years before the Mandalorian, If they will put baby Ezra Bridger in Bad Batch that Is the sequel of clone Wars, right? I'm glad that they will made the sequel of Rebels After the Rebels season five ended with the return of Jedi and we will see baby Ben Solo during his First Four years of Life if we want to see baby Ezra Bridger during his first six years of his Life until the arrest of his parents and Qi'ra gets separated by Han at the beginning of Solo

I'm having a lot of touble with EA app for several months.

Is it just me or every thing here is soooooo slow? the ship movement, rotation...

Always tearing things apart, blowing stuff up. Apparently there's no one on planet Earth that thinks it would be cool to make a video game about exploring other galaxies and worlds just to do it. No, that is laame, carry on...
