Xiamen City, located on the southeastern coast of Fujian Province, has a mild and rainy climate, with temperatures ranging from 17°C to 25°C most of the time. The city has a large green area and is very livable. Xiamen City has a total area of 1,700.61 square kilometers and a permanent population of approximately 5.32 million. It is an important central city, port and scenic tourist city on the southeast coast.
I stayed in Xiamen for 3 days and 3 nights. The itinerary is as follows for your reference.
D1: Arrive in Xiamen in the morning
√ Take the high-speed rail to Xiamen North Railway Station and check into a hotel near Zhongshan Road.
√ Drive 5 kilometers to Dongdu Community. Dongdu Community is built on the mountain and is the filming location of several idol dramas.
√ In the afternoon, drive 15 kilometers to Jimei Mei Village. Visit Tan Kah Kee’s former residence and Jimei Grand Shrine.
D2: One Day on Gulangyu Island (We will launch an issue of "Gulangyu Island Album", so stay tuned)
√ Book a ferry ticket one day in advance on the WeChat mini program "Yu Jian Xiamen" (round trip 35.00, one way 25 minutes).
√ Take a boat at the "Xiamen International Cruise Center Xiagu Pier". It is recommended to arrive 1 hour in advance, go through security check, and wait for the boat.
√ Arrive at Gulangyu Island’s “Sanqiutian Pier” by boat and walk north along the coast to avoid tour groups. Travel around the island and take a boat back to Xiamen city at Sanqiutian Pier.
√ After dinner, stroll around Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street.
D3: One day in Xiamen
√ Wake up naturally and go to Zhongshan Park to experience the leisure life of Xiamen locals.
√ Near Zhongshan Park are Huaxin Road and Xingfu Road. There are many overseas Chinese villas on Huaxin Road.
√ Take a 5-kilometer drive from Xingfu Road to Xiamen University and visit the most beautiful university in China. Visits must be made on the WeChat public account "Xiamen University Visitor Reservation System" at least 1 day in advance.
√ Walk about 1 kilometer from Xiamen University to the Yanwu Bridge viewing platform to enjoy the sea view.
√ Then walk to the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, Shapowei and Cat Street.

❀ Gulangyu Island 🌞
Gulangyu Island is located in the southwest corner of Xiamen Island, across the sea from Xiamen City. It not only has a unique hometown style of overseas Chinese, but also has delicious southern Fujian snacks. The various exotic buildings make Gulangyu Island unique. Suitable for walking, dazing, and enjoying life quietly.
❀ Xiamen University 🌞
Xiamen University is known as the most beautiful campus in China. The quaint architecture of the hometown of overseas Chinese in southern Fujian, the lush southern plants and the youthful students all retain their original beauty.
❀ Twin Towers 🌞🌙
The Twin Towers are the new landmark of Xiamen. They look like sails and are comprehensive commercial buildings integrating shopping, leisure, entertainment, and catering.
❀ Zhongshan Park 🌞
Zhongshan Park has a long history. Since the park was built, many large-scale political rallies have been held here. It is one of the places where Xiamen people live and relax.
❀ Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street 🌙
Xiamen's oldest commercial street, the buildings here are all arcades, with a strong Nanyang style. The dazzling night view and dazzling variety of Fujian and Taiwan snacks are also major features of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street.
❀ Shapowei 🌙
The name Shapowei comes from the fact that it is the end of a long stretch of beach and is the real Xiamen Port in the hearts of old Xiamen people. Today's Shapotei market is full of youthful atmosphere. Traditional on the left and trendy on the right, this is Shapotei's distinctive personality.
❀ Ding Ao Zai Cat Street 🌙
Cat Street is located near the West Village of Xiamen University. It is a 100-meter-long cat-themed street, very close to Xiamen University. The street is not wide, it is quite a steep uphill road, and cat-like decorations can be seen everywhere.
