4K walking in Montevideo, our hometown along the Rambla in Pocitos (neighborhood). We love walking along this riverside walk. This street runs along the south of Montevideo from the Port (West) to the Arroyo Carrasco (East) which set the eastern limit of the Montevideo Department. It is a place to spend time walking, biking and drinking mate. Locals love it. This video 4k was recorded during a beautiful day. This is slow tv, a virtual walking tour that I hope you will enjoy in 4k HDR. An interesting city walk where you will watch authentic local people in their urban natural environment through this virtual tour.

An important factor for any part of the world: smaller and manageable population. Whether it's a country, state/province, city, etc. This is proven time and time again but always ignored.

@Gabriel Guedes Population is only one element, but the country's system/gov't and base is always a factor as well. However, having a population aligning with the resources and natural space, will always be an important factor. It always favours having smaller populations because it means more resources to go around, and space.

There are only two cities similar to Montevideo all over the world: Barcelona and La Coruña, Spain. La rambla de La Coruña es idéntica a la de Pocitos.

es verdad amigo, yo he estado muchas veces en Argentina porque me parece un país increíble , antes de la pandemia estaba esperando el vuelo de escala a Ushuaia en Aeroparque y como había mucha demora, aproveché para dar una vuelta, miré el Río y me quedé helado; parece mentira que sea el mismo río. Cuando los interes mandan...es así, abrazo.

@@4KWALK Eso gracias a que en algun momento alguien construyó una rambla. Por entonces el debate se centraba en que era una inversion tan costosa como inútil. Se comparaba a Uruguay con New Zeland, por similitudes varias, y se destacaba que mientras uruguay enterraba la $ en la rambla, New Zeland creaba su propia marina mercante con recursos similares a los de la rambla montevideana. Hoy New Zeland es un pais rico. Uruguay es un pais con rambla. De aquellas inversiones, estos destinos.

Precioso video. Yo durante unos años hacía 4 cuadras por Gabriel Pereira hasta la rambla, para luego hacer cerca de 15 cuadras por la rambla, hasta llegar a 21 de setiembre para luego entrar al Banco Santander. Lo único que lo hacía a las 7y40 hasta 8y10 ya que hacía apertura de Banco ahí en Biarritz. Sentir el aire fresco de la mañana, el sonido del mar, son cosas que no tienen precio. Además a ésa hora dicha rambla está con poquita gente, y uno que va a paso normal, lo disfrutaba más.

It looks a bit like Paleo Faliro, near Athens, Greece. The major difference is that there is a tramway line along the coast in Paleo Faliro. 🙂
