4K WALK Milan Italy | From Milan Cathedral to Palazzo del Senato

Milan is a captivating city in northern Italy. It has a rich history that dates back over two millennia. Founded by the Celts and later becoming an important Roman settlement, it thrived as a center of trade and culture. Today, it's renowned for its fashion, art, and exquisite architecture.
Milan is one of the world's fashion capitals, alongside Paris, London, and New York. It hosts prestigious fashion events like Milan Fashion Week, where top designers showcase their latest collections.
Milan is home to Leonardo da Vinci's iconic fresco, "The Last Supper." This masterpiece remains one of the most significant works of art in history. It was also a significant place for Leonardo da Vinci's life and work. He spent many years there, contributing to the city's artistic and intellectual heritage.
My walk starts at the magnificent Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano) in Piazza del Duomo. It's the city's most famous landmark and an extraordinary Gothic masterpiece. It took around six centuries to complete and is the largest church in Italy. Then I make my way through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a stunning glass-roofed shopping arcade. Here you can enjoy the luxurious shops and cafes.
I exit Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II onto Piazza della Scala and pass by the famous Teatro alla Scala, also known as La Scala. It's one of the most renowned opera houses globally. It has hosted legendary performances and world-class artists throughout its history.
From Piazza della Scala I head on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, one of Milan's most famous and bustling shopping streets, named after the first King of Italy. This pedestrian street often hosts street performers, musicians, and artists, creating a vibrant and entertaining atmosphere for those strolling along its path. I continue walking until I reach Piazza San Babila, a prominent and bustling square in the heart of Milan. The Basilica di San Babila is located here. It's a church and a notable religious landmark in the city.
From Piazza San Babila I head north on Via Bagutta and Via Monte Napoleone. Along the way, I pass by several high-end fashion boutiques. Then I turn right on Via Gesu and pass by the elegant Bagatti Valsecchi Museum and Four Seasons Hotel Milano.
I end my walk at Palazzo del Senato, also known as the Senate Palace. Today, the building serves as the headquarters of the Milan Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Craftsmanship, and Agriculture (Camera di Commercio di Milano), playing a vital role in the city's economic and business affairs.
