山陰海岸ジオパークは、鳥取県、兵庫県、京都府にまたがる山陰海岸国立公園とその周辺からなるジオパークで、ユネスコの世界ジオパークとして認定されています。
山陰海岸ジオパークの特徴は、日本海形成に関わる火成岩類や地層、日本海の海面変動や地殻変動によって形成されたリアス海岸や砂丘をはじめとする多彩な海岸地形などを数多く観察できることです。
